I'm 21 and am not a long-term cannabis user, only started fairly recently in November 2023. As of right now, I only use edibles as my method of consumption since I have other health issues and don't want to irritate my lungs. Anyways, considering how often I get high I don't know nearly as much about edibles, or weed in general, as much as I'd like to. I want to educate myself more and am wondering the best places to do so. I'd rather not rely on information about weed from websites that also happen to sell it, so if anyone has recommendations on educational websites, videos, articles, etc. I'd appreciate it.

I’d caution you to take everything you see on reddit. this sub in particular has some great stuff, but there’s also a lot of weird fear mongering about “contamination” and people claiming to have experienced bizzare health effects that’s either not true or greatly exaggerated. just remember, weeds pretty fun and almost entirely harmless. Enjoy and have fun!
P.S, for a non-smoker getting into cannabis, if you haven’t already give some of the tinctures and liquid stuff a try, I find the effect a bit different then eating an edible
I find taking to people at your local dispensaries helps. Some of them are really knowledgeable and can shed some good insight on what you want to know

I work in a pharmacy and can just say that folks at your local dispo or pharmacy are a really good resource. I love talking with a patient when they have questions about cannabinoids or terpenes, because it shows that they're thinking about what they're using and how it affects them. It's much more interesting than getting the question, "what's the highest percentage you have?"
So yeah. If you're at a dispo, just ask the questions. Budtenders that have been at it a while will be a good source of general knowledge and maybe info about local growers and producers, too.
