Diego Rossi scored the second goal in last night’s win vs Nashville while the city was having their fireworks festival
Highlighthonestly couldn’t tell who was the home team here
I needed to check the length of the video because I couldn’t figure out when they were gonna counter-attack.
Confused me all damn night...
Why are you getting downvoted lol
“No mentioning how your personal experience was allowed!”
Lmao. Legitimate question. How dare I agree with him and express my confusion also. Just goes to show how pointless down votes can be.
Many longtime Crew fans would interpret your comment as being confused about which team is in yellow. Our supporters harbor resentment at MLS for being complicit in planning to move/rebrand our team. The timing of and approval of the Nashville uniforms that have very similar colors to the Crew is an item that has been pointed to as evidence. Might be reason for a couple down votes
I know MLS was scripted
The game was actually originally scheduled for 730. They moved it up to 630 so the game would be over well before the fireworks started. Then we had weather delay the game until 8:45 so the fireworks started right after half time.
Is there a reason the city had their 4th of July fireworks on July 3? It's not a Sunday or anything.
probably because a lot of people have the day after off so more people can stay out later (and go see fireworks shows)
This was always the reasoning I had heard. ~500k people flock to downtown, and it isn't fully dark until 10 pm. So traffic is a nightmare and you're not even starting to leave until close to 11.
If you're going to have a show that big and that late, it's best to do it when people have the next day off (especially when the 4th falls on a Mon, Tues, Wed, etc. and people still work the rest of the week.)
this also a few cities around Cbus have insane firework shows on the 4th
Pretty common in Ohio at least for fourth celebrations on the third, for whatever reason
Red White and Boom is always on the 3rd in cbus, likely so they don’t compete with neighborhoods
You would think it'd be the other way around.
People like to cook out and shoot off their own. Many local towns and cities have them at different times. Some on the actual 4th. It varies and gives us many chances to watch fireworks throughout the week.
In Columbus every town or suburb designates their own random day for trick or treating. Kids seldom go out on Halloween.
Not surprised they have their downtown fireworks on the third of July.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they move Thanksgiving dinner to a Saturday out of convenience.

The show in the video was Red, White, and Boom. The main Columbus fireworks display.
I am stupid lol. I thought this game was in Nashville. Nashville had firework shows on the 3rd and the 4th.
To be fair their stadiums look similar and their colors are similar
Red white and boom is the 3rd of July and is one of the largest fireworks displays in the Midwest, at least.
Damn lucky
Awesome!
