This is a weekly post for folks to post events and happenings that are going on around Lansing this weekend.

I thought that I'd try LBC's golden lager, just to see what a simple beer from them is like. It's so incredibly bland. Are all their beers like this? Stacked up against all the other choices at Horrocks, I've never felt inclined to try anything of LBC until today. Are there good ones you'd recommend trying?

Kind of a weird one but I move my body a lot and I like the ability to let my body just hang so I can realign my spine. It really helps with trapped air and as a tall person fighting gravity, I feel it's able to help me breath better. Currently I do it from my upstairs neighbors balcony, because they mentioned it was OK, but that's got a lip which mean my forearms are rubbing against wood the entire time.

I'm curious if anyone here knows of a location with a bar that can be hung from, for tall people? Just a horizontal pole which can be grabbed and a person can hang from, without their feet touching the ground. I'm 6'5" with long arms, so something between 7'-8' would be great, but I don't know that there are any places like that. I'm not looking to spend a gym membership just to work on my spine alignment.

I'm out in Haslett but don't mind cycling to a as far out as Downtown Lansing or Holt.

What are the best ways to properly get rid of/recycle a broken rice cooker? I checked places that recycle appliances like Best Buy and didn’t see that they accepted rice cookers. Also saw Granger was an option for self-haul disposal but was hoping to possibly recycle if that's even possible.

I’m looking for recommendations on a local place that programs automobile key fobs. Trying to save money and not go to the dealership. Thanks!

What a neat place. Thank you all for recommending them to me! The two cards I bought jumped out at me as if they were made just for the occasion and knew I'd be there to get them.

Long story short, Zales sucks. I need to get my wedding ring sized and Zales is out of the question. So where do you recommend in the Lansing area, I take my ring to get sized. Somewhere honest and trustworthy, and that hopefully won't take forever to get my ring sized.

I'm working on a little project today and find myself in need of a transistor. Fulton's on South Penn is now only open M, W, F so I'm out of luck there. Are there any other electronics stores within 45 minutes of Lansing? All I'm finding on Google are electrical supply stores for cabling.

Looking to buy organic/unsprayed straw bales for gardening. Does anyone drive by any roadside stands or know small farms who sell straw? Anywhere in the Mason/Williamston/Haslett/Bath area is preferred, but will drive a longer distance if needed. Thanks!

Any restaurants/bars showing UFC 302 tonight?

My gf and I are moving to Lansing soon and she’s catholic. She is looking for a Catholic Church that is on the more progressive side, meaning that they don’t give sermons that are homophobic, transphobia, sexist/misogynistic, anti-science, etc.

I recognize that this isn’t common in the Catholic Church but she wants to keep going to mass without having to deal with the bigoted beliefs of outdated priests.

Anyone have suggestions? Bonus points if it’s in an actual church and not a new-style church or community center.
