Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the āloser,ā and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment. When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3Ć5 card reading, āPlease use this M&M for breeding purposes.ā This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this āgrant money.ā I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one.

I've just accepted that sugar is a part of my life, it's my vice. It's too late for me now, for I am more sugar than man.
The addiction is definitely real. Stress exacerbates my eating disorder. I recently adopted a dog and this is helping me cope a lot (his a really well behaved dog as well). I feel bad restricting his eating and eating like a pig in-front of him, so he keeps me in check a bit. Also I have new outlet of petting him and going for walks to help me cope. I didnāt get the dog to help me, but I knew it would help get my behaviour in check a bit. Itās been going better than expected thus far.

I have more of a food addiction that lucky doesn't include sweets, just shit load of other shitty things for my body.
Iāve been working with the HDH bariatric center. The Dietitian said that people can get carb cravings, especially in the evening, if they havenāt had enough <protein intake) during the day. She recommended 60 to 90 g per day. People can use an app like MyFitnessPal to track this macro.
I went Keto for a year, no carbs, no sugar. Before sugar was my vice, but I found I missed breads, fruits and whole grains the most. I will indulge a bit now, but much less than I did before.

Caffeine and Sugar addict here, I turn into a zombie if I don't start my day with either of those.
My coffee has to have a coffee before I can function. Neurodivergent though so the caffeine tends to calm and give clarity not necessarily energy.
