Holy shit indeed! This is awesome :D
is that a greenhouse?
It's basically a greenhouse with the ends open. Let's the sun in (and those spectacular surroundings), keeps the rain out
Weed Breath Steam Tent
I was there it was amazing ! There was one hour and a half between the two concerts and the boys started early basically giving us an extra 45 minutes of show for free !
yessssirrrrr, wonder if this would be possible to bootleg? Might have to get in touch with palp
I hope so because the mix is beautiful
The description of the video says the artist is "bootleg gizzard". Don"t know if it means anyithing though.
Omg youβre right ! Donβt get my hopes up like that
Just commented on palps instagram post of the video, tagged them and gizz hahaha hoping for a good response
Maybe you'll singlehandedly get gizz to release this officially as a bootleg
Or get them to make chunky 2 hahaha, theres enough officially recorded festival shows to fill an album
I feel like I read somewhere that it was a compilation album that had a Gizz song on it. Could be wrong, though.
Ah I think you might be right. Wishful thinking. Would be great if they put something together though, it's been an amazing live year for them.
Every single person (crowd, band, crew, photographers, everybody) looks like they're just having the best time.
We did
One of the most interesting sets that tour!
Man I opened the link to add this to my YouTube watch later list and can tell from that opening shot of the mountains that it is going to be a damn good time whenever I can actually sit and enjoy this.
Thank you for sharing! Always an awesome day when a new pro-shot video surfaces.
Watching it now..is awesome. Good to relive..
However, i wanna hear the Han Tyumi Suite from Padua. Was a great gig but to finish with that for 20-25 mins was just over the top.. Maybe the best thing i saw of them this year!!
For some reason if they decide to dig out Han tyumi suite the show immediately becomes one of the best sets on tour. Everything else flows so well, jealous of those who been to Padua
What a cute moment when Joey and Stu sit together while playin Straws in the wind - 1:21:20
Amazing Trapdoor!
That was a hot flute!
OMG
Those fan-shot YT clips were so hot, thought a full vid would be impossible but here we are.
Can't wait to obsess over this one for ages, so glad they took the time to get an awesome cut of footage together.
This is a gorgeous setting and special show. Great audio and video quality
Float along with a dragon-esque jam and Lonely steel sheet to open is fantastic
This version up the river is up there with Red rocks 22, with an entirely new chill jam in there that should please all the deadhead crossover fans.
First concert I saw in Copenhagen, they ended with FAFYL, and here at my second one they started with it. Breathed a very deep breath both times
I've been hoping this shit would eventually drop
What a sick FAFYL. Never heard them give that song a metal treatment like that. Love love love
What a location. Beautiful
I took a day off work to go there by myself because I have no gizzfriends. Made sure to arrive early so that I had time for a little hike. Itβs a beautiful part of Switzerland and we had lots of people coming over from France and Italy. My first gizz show and Iβll remember it for the rest of my life, even cried some happy tears throughout the gig
Iβm so happy I took that day off as well. Was the best concert I have been to.
That sounds amazing, especially for a first show experience!
The sound mixing is π©π
So like...magma is their best live song right its just gotta be
Wow the sound is top notch, the crowd energy is great. Also that setlist tho π 10/10 performance.
Just finished watching this. Epic!
Question: do we think they plan the βteasesβ -? The setlist has the Ice V tease in Steel Sheet, but there was also a Rattlesnake tease that isnβt on the setlist. Just made me wonderβ¦ is this planned out, or when they are jamming someone just leans into a tease the rest of the boys pick it up and roll..?
I don't know what WE think, but what I think it is probably a mix of improvisation and planned teases. But even if something is unplanned, it still feels very naturaly and organic, as it has probably happened already during a different set or in the studio. I believe most of the ideas is tried out, and on stage none of them is surprised if Stu or Joey starts playing e.g. a rattlesnake motif in the beginning section of another microtonal song. What they likely plan ahead is if a song will be built up in such a way it is easier to jam: like the drum pattern/tempo must be a bit more generic which fits to other songs too. But if Stu feels that "nah, I'd like to play a minimum brain size tease instead" they just do it, because when they are on stage, it might feel more authentic. I'm pretty sure they also watch the reaction of the crowd too. They started with the psych songs as it fit to the venue more, but they also included short thrashy parts, so by the time they arrived to the metal songs the whole audience was ready. Also, many of their songs have different sections, and each section can have multiple versions. They can probably agree on they will play the river in the "evil way", and they switch it's 3rd section with that jam they did in the studio last time. And what is the most important: they communicating a lot when they are on stage. Instead of planning all the details, they learned how to communicate. They are focusing on each other more than the songs itself.
When I first listened bonnaro's dripping tap, the idea came to my mind that this song isn't really have a static/fixed/final version: it's a combination of different jam sections and what we can hear on the studio album is just one permutation of the almost infinite possibilites. And this can probably be applied to all the songs of Ice Death too.
delicious show! they got tired of releasing new albums every other month, they now do it every other gig
This is such an amazing show. I hope that this gets into the bootlegger series! οΏΌ
holy shit is that a greenhouse? π¦
joey goes ham on that magma wow
