Not only do I get low quality posts with 0-10 likes now, recently it's started recommending me 8-12 year old little girls, recording themselves. Got 2 today, only a few reels apart. I don't know about you but this isn't right, they shouldn't be on IG in the first place and now I get them every single day. No matter how many I block they just keep on appearing, alongside the other new trashy videos with no visibility. The new algo sucks a**

Literally when I open any hashtag it takes me back to "for you" and can't even view recent top tags, first they removed recent posts and now removed top recents tags? This is completely useless now especially if you're making ig to meet friends online lmaooo, what was Instagram thinking??

I have taken a screen shot on my phone of a comment removal from instagram. Apparently I'm "fishing for likes" with my comment and therefore it was taken down. I honestly believe, even if misconstrued, I don't think my comment was meant to do that. I don't care about likes, I just enjoy expressing my opinion the way I do here on reddit.

In any case, on the bottom section of the app it says: "repeatedly breaking our rules can cause more account restrictions" So I questions myself: huh, that's counterintuitive. You act like you want to promote an environment where people don't have restrictions on their account yet even for a slight opinion, you restrict them. That is very strange. It literally feels to me like they prefer people to just not comment. Now is that a way for them to save space or whatever in their systems, I don't know, maybe someone does.

But the case remains, my experience lately with this app is leading me to believe I shouldn't use it? Also customer support for this app is nonexistent. Literally this app is worse than Uber and I didn't know that could even happen. I'm done commenting on Instagram. I don't want to lose my account over just leaving silly comments that are literally not toxic (If I share the photo people will see it's ludicrous that it was taken down) Thank you instagram but no thank you. I'm good.

Apparently I got suspended for spamming or something and I read the guidelines and it included buying likes and follows. The sing is, I have done that before when I was desperate for attention like 6 years ago but they only suspend me now??

I havent even bought any likes or follows since then. I even REMOVED all the followers i bought. I still have all the likes i bought but it wasn’t even that much, it was like an extra 20 likes on a few of my posts and obviously I’m not going to go through all of that and delete them all because I don’t even use instagram that much anymore.

Would they still even disable my account for that? Like, it was literal years ago and I haven’t done anything like that since and I kinda feel like it’s pretty stupid that they suspended my account now after I stopped doing the thing that went against their community guidelines like are you punishing me because I’m following the rules now??

Have you noticed that songs will randomly disappear from IG and if you used them on a reel, it deletes ALL the audio including your camera audio/voiceover, so it basically ruins the reel? Are people just accepting that the reels they worked hard on will randomly get destroyed without them even knowing?

My mom's instagram account was hacked about a month ago. The hacker started posting about making money with crypto, and directions people to some "financial coach". We can't seem to figure out how to directly delete the account ourselves. I would really like to find a way to get the account back, because they've kept all of her posts on there going back for years!

She can't log in because the hacker has changed the accounts email, phone number and username. Is there a way for me to revoke access to the current user, or otherwise remove them while maintaining access to the account? Or am I supposed to sit back and watch all her friends and family, people I grew up with, get swindled by who they think is my mother?

If there really is no way to recover it, how do I permanently delete it?

My ex posts a lot of dumps which I’d be featured in before we broke up. Since then, she’s deleted my pictures but kept the dumps, and for some reason they still show on my tagged feed (even though the picture i was featured and tagged in has since been removed).

This is very annoying since the first 7 pictures that show up in my tagged feed are my ex’s selfies…

My IG account disabled. It happened on January the 17th this year. I do not know the reason why. (Apparently it was a harsh comment but it really wasn’t. I just told someone don’t waste your time on trying to educate someone else cause they are stupid”. I have time until July 17th before my account gets permanently banned. However I can’t log in and do any sort of appeal. Forms won’t help cause it asks me to log into Instagram to send one but I literally cannot cause of locked out of my account due to it being disabled.

Anyone knows what is going to happen? I’m kinda sad and scared. No social media since January which is good but my family and friend are all on that with memories of photos and videos so it’s quite lonely especially when I’ve moved to a new country.

When i upload a story on my main instagram the quality is horrible with and without using stickers, but when i upload the exact same story to a different account it looks perfectly fine. i’ve been dealing with for about 3 months and still haven’t fixed the problem. I got this message on Instagram and immediately knew it was a scam, but what I don't understand is that it looked like several of my friends were following the account- "@comsteamj" "Meta-Clinic"

I looked on their profiles to see if they were in fact following it, but they weren't. How can a fake profile make it look like your contacts are following it?

It also went straight to my inbox, rather than message requests. Anyone know how this works? Thanks!

I have an issue with my old instagram account - I thought it was hacked and subsequently deleted. Recently I found out it wasn't, and I tried to access it... but I couldn't, because the e-mail address I used to make that account no longer exists. So I can't even recieve any login verification e-mails that instagram would send me.

Meta account center wouldn't let me change the e-mail address to my current one, or remotely delete that account. The help center wasn't helpful at all (how shocking), and it seems that Meta no longer employs people in their customer service that I could contact.

Any information would be helpful so that I can close this annoying chapter.

Can't lie it's not a bad thing cause I just leave everytime and it probably saves me hours, but anytime I open Insta Reels I get the same three reels at the start, so I've just started leaving the app anytime I open it. But it's also really annoying now cause I wanna see some new stuff when I open the app, not the same three garbage reels that I've clicked not interested on multiple times. This is on Android btw so not sure if anyone else has this glitch?

I’ve been trying to post a drum cover with Oasis music in the background, and while it posts in my current country (Japan), it gets blocked in many other countries including the US (where most of my friends are).

I’ve never had this happen before. Would reducing the video length (1:16) or changing the pitch of the audio help me avoid the block?

For the last few weeks, every time I follow someone, it says it’s requested. Public pages, verified people, etc. I unfollowed someone I know and tried to follow them back, same thing. But none of my requests are being accepted or denied.

Anyone else have this issue? I switched to a different account and tried to follow the same people, and had no issues or requests needed.

I’m not sure if anyone else is having the same problems currently but I’m having trouble logging into my accounts on the app on my phone and even on chrome on my laptop(both of which have the same Apple ID, not sure if that has anything to do with it?) but then I can log in on safari on my phone?

I’ve managed to log into the accounts on a friends phone and so I know the accounts aren’t banned or anything

I’ve tried deleting the app, deleting accounts off the app, changing the password etc

Even when I try changing the password I get to the “ type new password” bit and it says I entered the wrong password?

Hi guys.. my account became permanently banned this week. I still have another account thats active though. But I'd like to change that username to the banned username. Is this possible?

On my main account, a profile says it has 3 posts and only shows 3, but on my other account the profile has 14 posts and shows all 14 so I’m wondering why this is happening and how to fix it. It also happened on a different profile where on my main it says there’s 21 posts but only shows me 4. How do I fix this?

In my professional profile linked with FB profile in the Instagram's app settings I chose everybody can reply my stories, but still, the followers has no option to contest.

I also realised that people cant send me DM either, while it does not seem to be blocked.

I tried to watch videos about this, read FAQs, or find troubleshooting options and solution, but they didnt help me. Thanks, if you try to give me ideas.
