Growing up, my grandma used to offer us “something to piece on” if she was giving us a snack or little bit to eat. She would be in her mid 70s today.
She would also use the phrase “Here directly..” often. Ex: “we’re about to go to the grocery store here directly.” Meaning that she was planning to go soon.
Did anyone else’s family use these? I have never heard either outside of my grandma using them.
Curious if there are other midwestern terms your family uses that you don’t hear much otherwise?
