I'm searching for a new hobby that I can share with others or do together. Currently, I'm focused on tech-related activities like coding software and deploying apps (which is difficult to showcase). I'd like to find something that isn't too challenging because I get easily discouraged, and I'm not particularly interested in sports. Also, I don't want something too expensive—I've considered Legos or photography, but they're a bit too pricey. Any suggestions?
Look into the Raspberry Pi and the Arduino. A great way to break into coding as well as light hardware. A sight called instructables will give you a great start. You will be surprised as to how little it takes to get started. You can spend as much as you want. One of my projects was turning my riding mower into computer controlled. Check the gas and oil push a button and get out of the way. When it finishes it park's itself, turns itself off and sends a message. Cost was around 500 but a simular model would run 4 or 5 times that. It was a challenge and a ton of fun.
