When are we finally getting heavy armour penetrating weapons?
We have them as strategems. Recoiless, spear, quasar, and thermite nade (yes its been fixed) all penetrate.
Then there should be in game information showing statistics no? Just like for the rest of the weapons.
Also what about the amr because you'd think that it has heavy armour pen but it doesn't feel like it...
AMR has medium pen. Its a .50 cal basically.
The weapons themselves do state what they pen, in the description, usually.
Thermite -does- explicitly tell you it burns through armor.
A 12.7mm AP round can go through ~25mms of roller homogenous armour
I'm pretty sure that accounts for heavy armour pen, while a 20mm HE shell from the autocannon can't even go through fifth of that.
He shells are also not AP shells, thats why they are called HE. One explodes on contact, the other does not.
Chargers and hulks for example are about the size of a modern tank, it is not hard to believe they have more than 25mm of protection be it shell or actual plating. The Bot tanks for example very clearly are heavily armored if you look at the plates from on top, they have very clear weld points.
