I’d be willing to drive anywhere to be able to have my anxiety calmed. I’d love to be heavily sedated. 😂
Edit: thank you for some great recommendations. I’ll be looking into these places and white-knuckling it through treatment!

My primary gives me a couple xanax a year just for dental visits. They work wonders for me.
That’s a good option!
Whatever you do, don’t go to Aspen Dental - it’s a cash grab and you’re treated like an idiot.
My husband and I actually drive over to Lincolnton to Comfort & Care Dentistry. They will prescribe you an Ativan OR use NO (laughing gas) for whatever work you’re getting done. My husband has major dental anxiety and I have it too now (I never did bc I went to my dentist for a very long time in FL and when we moved up here, I had a very scary experience with a dentist). Everyone at this place remembers us by name, the prices cannot be beat, the dentists and hygienists and staff are all super sweet, and they legitimately will listen to you and care about your concerns and what you have to say.
Agree with you on Comfort & Care Dentistry. My son has major anxiety over any type of dental visit. They are really a good group of people over there :)
Good to know to avoid Aspen! Thank you for the info about Comfort & Care, I will look into them, sounds exactly like what I need.
I have had a lot of negative dental experiences and believe there is a special place in hell for dentists. This is in part due to upsell activities such as Aspen pushing everything under the sun causing distrust and my own personal anxieties. My anxiety is bad enough that I've gotten up in the middle of a treatment and said, "I can't do this", and walked out.
With that preface, Dr. Michael Cordora has been my dentist in Hickory. He is kind, understanding of my general anxieties, patient, and doesn't push unnecessary services. At most, I get a "Are you happy with your smile?" question on their questionnaire when I check in. And, when my legs are shaking while getting an old cavity reworked, he has the appropriate amount of empathy for an adult (while trying to suppress his annoyance from having a drill in some guy's mouth who is shaking a whole bunch).

Truly recommend you check them out.
Try Bethlehem Dental. I’ve been going there since high school. They have great staff and are always friendly.
Green Park is the best and takes most dental insurances.
I'm a big fan of Hickory Dental Care off fairgrove church road. They've helped me take some really bad teeth out and it was super easy the entire process. They were so good to me, I highly recommend them.
Thank you! I’ll look into them.
omg im the biggest dental crybaby ever hahaha dr setzer in newton is the MF MANNNN i STGGG
Hickory heights dental. They are super nice. Might have to ask about being sedated though.
I highly recommend Hickory Heights! They don’t do actual sedation, but they do offer nitrous oxide and Valium.
also we paid out of
FTFY.
Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.
Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
Beep, boop, I'm a bot
Dr Boggs dentistry in granite falls is where I've been going for years. Before that, I had extreme dental anxiety and after the first visit I no longer have anxiety
Don’t be a bitch and go to the dentist and get those teeth cleaned
