It‘s my first time growing and I’m wondering if I should cut some of the lower flowers (marked in first pic), so the upper flowers can grow better/more or If you let them grow like the main, upper ones. Would it make a difference, do you generally cut the lower flowers or not? Appreciate the help of you guys, thanks 🙏
I would keep them. If you were going to do any trimming, it should have already been done. Did you remove your side shoots? Also, they look like they stretched quite a bit. Need to keep the light closer next time to get tighter nodes
Yeah, already trimmed some. The problem with the stretching is because of a bad light I used in the beginning, definitely won’t happen next time again 🫡
If you have a bad light you can try to lst the shit out of it, just for future reference. I understand the low budget light struggle well
I'd keep but harvest the top and allow the bottom to grow before chopping
If you have this much space, and you can afford the veg time, top your plants more than once in the future, and allow them enough veg time to establish strong stalks to support big buds, don’t kick into flower immediately after topping.
If you don’t want to grow lowers, cut the ones you circled from the plant when they are still only nodes, no later than 2 weeks into flower. If you want the plant to put its energy into the colas, you need to do so before allowing it to develop the bottom buds to this extent.
For this size pot, you can afford a much bigger plant
You may also want to look into nitrogen reduction cycle in order to discourage that leaf you see growing out from the middle of your bud. It may take a big of reading, but reducing your nitrogen while keeping a balanced nutrient content, and adding a little supplemental red lighting can do wonders for bud size.
Interesting. Thanks https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0926669023007343
Thanks for all the advice, really helpful🙏🙏

I would really recommend not planting more than one seed in a single pot. Also veg time is super important. I used to veg for about two months and if you’re giving a good nutrients and great love, you’ll get a nice hearty plant out of it! Also either low stress training or topping (I like a mix of both) will really help you step up your next grow! To be honest this looks like most peoples first grow, so good job you kept the plant alive!
Personally I’d leave the lowers and let them fill in they dry quickly so you can take a little sneak peak of how your first grow smokes. Good on you for growing your own!
Bend the upper buds in LST, so as to expose the lower buds to the light.
Hey man If you check my previous post from 2 days ago I had the same issue top buds where nice and fluffy ready to harvest and I did not know what to do, I went and cut the top bud and the plant survived easy, but I did leave her alone the rest of these days and shes pumping the nutes to the other buds now :)
But then I dont see any brown pistols on yours and your stem is thicker I dont know I am not an expert but for me it worked ..
Thanks, really appreciate it. Think I’m gonna try it 🙏
Pretty cool that you planted several seeds in the same pot!
It is not, it should not be done. Plants as they grow will fight for nuts and it will jeopardise their potential
Oh. But what if it was fun and interesting to see the changes in growth?
I see what you mean, but what’s fun about giving poor conditions to your plants to see how she will struggle?
... Yea bud you've got three straight stalks, just cut everything off that isn't the top you might get 5 grams altogether.
Everything but the top ones, even tough some of the lower ones are looking good too? 🥹🥲
Sorry I forgot to add /s for sarcasm
Hahaha okay, sorry I didn’t got it 😂
They are good, you have plenty of light and airflow to them. I personally would keep them. You won't increase the top bud to a huge nug, you'll just add stress for no reason
