Quit Genshin a couple years ago but I want to scratch the itch. The gacha and resin system keeps me away from it so im wondering if theres any single player anime rpgs that are worth it?
Or the newer one, TotK.
I absolutely LOVE Zelda games, but first he has to play Botw then Totk if he needs to know the story
Probably want to look into Granblue Fantasy Relink that dropped earlier this year?
GBFR is amazing especially the boss fights. Worth every penny.
You could also try Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This also has Gacha elements but no microtransactions and the Story is really great. Also, it is open world and there are a lot of fun different characters
A lot of the "Tales of [ ]" series are solid single player anime style rpg's
Tales of Berseria and Tales of Arise are some of my all time favorites.
Tales of Arise is so damn polished, combat gets to a point where it's pretty amazing, the story is decent and the environments are great. Amazing game tbh.
I recommend Ni no Kuni if you don't care about the open world.
Nier automata or replicant
The originator of genshin my guy, zelda breath of the wild
Elden ring?
Elden Ring is nothing like Genshin. OP might get their ass kicked instead.
Might? Genshin is a mobile game.
I play both games
And? We are talking about OP.
I think OP can do it. I have faith. As a Genshin player just farm out an overpowered build for hours and make the game easier if you have to lol
Yes go from sleeping on cotton to sleeping on active drills
Zelda Botw or totk
Pokemon scarlet and violet. Or Skyrim. It's been remade to death, so I'm sure you'll find a copy to play easily.
Breath of the wild is the OG and worth while, as well as the sequel.
I'm personally waiting for a perfect game, with gameplay like Breath of the Wild, Diverse Characters and elemental abilities like Genshin, but with a custom chsracter maker like Balders Gate. I'd love of someone just someday cracked Genshin and let us design and create custom characters
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Big open world to go crazy with exploration (but the story will be hella confusing if you didn't play Remake)
Tales of Arise
Code Vein can be both. Anime and hardcore soul-like rpg

If you can tolerate ps2 style graphics... Toram online. Watch josh strife hayes review of it. Its going strong for 9 years now.
Uhm.... You know there was that one game people keeps saying Genshin Impact is a copy-cat of. What was that again? Z... Zel...? 🤔
Withering waves /s
First it is Wuthering Waves and second, OP doesn't want Gacha and grind parties. WuWa is what again?
I think you could have gotten better at roasting him.
Atelier Ryza maybe?
Ghost of tsushima?
Immortals Fenyx Rising is very similar. Full of puzzles, open world, chests etc.
Skyrim! Very fun
You can try Zelda Botw.
