Our little guy came in fron outside one day and we originally thought he got bit but when we took him to the vet they said it was a hematoma. Unfortunately they said it wasn't large enough to operate on and for us to just monitor it. My sister in laws staffordshire terrier had the same thing but went down after a week. That was on the 21st of September so it has now been 2 weeks today and it seems to not get any smaller. We've also been giving him prednisone that was prescribed by the vet. Anyone ever have this with their French ajd if so how long did it take to go down? Poor guys ear is getting crinkly now.
And for the record , we always monitor our French when he's outside in an enclosed backyard. Usually if he wants to sunbathe we will leave him out there to relax but we are usually on top of him
