I'm sure the creep is intentional, but damn, Chet is in for a rough time with Steph. I'm still not 100% sure if she hooked up with him of her own volition or if she was told to do it, perhaps a bit from both columns.
It would make sense, after what Chet pulled with Norm and Lucy. Give him a personal handler, making sure he doesn't make more trouble.
Pretty clear Steph doesn't actually respect him and is really just using him for her own ends. I wouldn't be surprised if their relationship turned more explicitly abusive in time.
Either way it's clear Chet seems to feel he has something to loose now, which means the plan worked.
Idk, maybe this is beyond obvious to everyone else, i just feel like, right now, we have just enough to suspect Steph is up to no good, but not enough to know for certain.
