Nah, a commercial real estate crisis doesn’t explain why Reata is leaving downtown. Increasing rent does not make downtown real estate more attractive in a crisis. Downtown has always been a little sleepy, but her decisions are actively harming the things that did work, with no signs of a functional vision of the future.
Wasn't Reatta at the top of that building outside of downtown that got torn up by the tornado? I think that was in like....2000? Then they moved to the basement location next to the AMC theater. I'm from FW but haven't been back much.
