“Blow it off” can mean to just dismiss something without considering the consequences.

I can't quite think of something that totally matches.

Closest I can think of is

"(to) throw caution to the wind"

meaning "(to) not feel caution" or "(to) ignore feelings of caution/worry/concern" (I think because you figuratively threw that emotion away, and the wind presumably blew it away).

“Pissing in the wind” is when you’re just wasting time getting nothing done. Struggling in vain

He’s full of hot air means like “he’s making empty threats (that should not be taken seriously).” Maybe that one? To pass wind means to fart, so there’s that too
