I’ve played Chel for roughly 8 years now getting every year’s edition…and NHL 24 very clearly dropped the ball game mechanics. Which year has been the best in recent history?

I figured I would start with the game since I live on Portugal watching the games live isnt really a option,I don't know anything about lines I don't even know how to sub players

How do I chopping the puck in 24? The control instruction are a bit confusing for me. Can someone help, please? (I have Xbox, btw)

got drafted by buffalo, asked for a trade because i got sent down so many times, went to chicago then signed with tampa. that’s where i am now. First game back in buffalo i get absolutely rocked by jack eichel and i’m out with a broken leg for 3 months. Then by some stroke of luck my first game back from injury is against buffalo. midway through the game i absolutely batter eichel and he limps off the ice and is out for a month. I personally thought this was really cool and an interesting sequence of events. My favorite thing to do in be a pro or franchise is make storylines so this has been fun

3 days ago me and a friend were looking for something different we could play together and neither of us knowing anything at all about NHL or hockey, we decided to download the game. It has been super fun and enjoyable as we expected. I'm kinda new to sports games in general whereas my friend is a natural athlete lol. It makes defense pretty fun but now I want to learn the fundamentals and how to get better at scoring. Any advice for beginners is greatly appreciated.

i used to play it all the time but got yelled at a lot 4 no reason at all

it got so bad i had to mute the microphone because then family members would ask about why some1 is so angry at different colors

it just got too hard 2 explain that the person bein called a muppet is me i am yellow

have they cleaned up the drop in so ppl r nicer now?

also, if anybody has a club n needs a defenseman i would love 2 join fyi im more of a rover 24/7 offensive qb sort of like patrik kane but on defense so i need a team good at coverin 4 me when i get low in the offense zone usually i cant get back in time because i have more of a hound dog puck chasin style so by the time im below the net in the ozone i mean it rlly doesnt make sense to get back on d but its good because then im available for the 2 line pass when my forwards get the puck back let me know

I’d rather play as a single player on the ice rather than the entire team. I know there is a career mode for this but I’m COMPLETELY new to NHL.. Literally shot my first puck 20 mins ago so I’m trying to learn the ropes before I start a career. Is there anyway I can practice as a single player and have AI play as my teammates so I can get a better feel for the game?

Also if anyone can list all positions on a team and what their main goal on the ice is. Which position is the expected scorer, passer, defender? Sorry if I’m asking a lot. Just really hyped to get better at the game. Thanks so much in advance!

Can you learn any ability with any player type? Or am I limited to a set group of abilities? Also if I remember correctly, DFD has Shutdown Zone. Is that the only zone you can learn as DFD? Or are there other possibilities?
