I am sick/disgusted with dogs pissing/s%#&ting everywhere.. you cannot take a walk or bike ride on any trail, path, public access without seeing dogs pi%#ing and piles all over the place. Why do nutters believe this to be a god given right?
They do
yes - as evidenced by the number of times they take a crap in stores - it's just like home!
Yup and they just loooove to this when they are renting someone else's property so it becomes their problem once they leave.
They see it as totally natural. Like you must be some kind of nature hating germophobe for minding their dog’s waste everywhere. They will even toss poo bags in your empty garbage cans and tell you to be happy they picked it up.
I still cannot get over people who wrap it up in plastic and just leave it, or worse, toss it into the bush. Oh cool, now there's dog shit and more plastic in the world. It's a good day when I don't see any dogs on a trail.
Actually why isn’t everyone talking about how much plastic goes into this stuff??
Update: there is data actually. 0.6% of total plastic waste generated. For comparison straws are 0.2%
Yup. Yet straws are the things getting banned.
Remember the plague? Streets full of feces, certain animals scavenging through the feces, carrying them into people's homes and stocks. The difference between then and today is the bringer of feces (ie death) is way larger, has an actual, concerningly popular cult following which not only enables, but encorages the omnipresence of feces, and - my personal favourite - a long time ago we invented sewage systems in order to prevent such sanitary catastrophes, yet, here we are.
I believe dogs played a much larger part in spreading the plague than is currently assumed. For the main reason that dogs are highly resistant to plague bacteria, while rats are not.
I can totally see dog nutters rewriting history to hide this fact.
This is correct. The fleas that carried the plague were Ctenocephalides canis, aka the dog flea.
For the main reason that dogs are highly resistant to plague bacteria, while rats are not.
Wouldn't that make dogs a more difficult vector than rats since they'd be harder to infect? If they're resistent, then plague bacteria wouldn't be able to build up to infectious levels as easily.
No, because the germs are actually carried inside fleas. So by being resistant to the plague, dogs can carry around those fleas for a lot longer, while rats succumb quickly.
Remember the plague?
Not personally.
Streets full of feces, certain animals scavenging through the feces, carrying them into people's homes and stocks.
Modern academic thought is actually trending towards a human-human transmission method for the black death, rather than animal-human, with the carriers being predominantly human body lice and human specialised fleas.
Either way, neither the rodent transmission model, nor the human transmission model have much to do with faeces. You might be thinking of Cholera instead.
"Not personally." ☝️🤓
I have a toddler, and I've become hyper vigilant about this kind of shit (sad haha). I do not trust any poles or wall or a log at the beach because I'm always seeing fresh dog piss on them. Any public field of grass is like playing mine sweeper and I certainly do not sit or lie down in them. I can't believe people who do that. I've seen a dog take a shit in the middle of a patch of grass that toddlers were going to go easter egg hunting, and no one cared because, "See, they cleaned it up. What's the big deal?"
The worst threat is the parasites in dog shit. It can infect humans. And can even burrow into your skin.
Yup. Strongyloides. Dogs are the single biggest vector for these. They're also the primary vector ofCtenocephalides canis, the roundworm responsible for visceral larval migrans in humans.
and I certainly do not sit or lie down in them. I can't believe people who do that.
Pretty much all soil is made up of animal and insect shit. How fresh it is obviously depends, but you pays your money and you takes your chances.
Yeah it gets annoying always having to look down instead of up so you don’t step in a big pile of dog waste
Yeah, it happens. Imagine you are being on a date?
Did anyone else see that twitter post about someone who put up a sign asking people to stop putting dog shit in their bin? And the whole of twitter was saying "well it's a trash bin, why do you care if someone puts their trash in it?" As if its no different to any other trash. Why can't they take it home to their own bin? Someone said "well I'm not carrying around a bag of shit when I could put it in the first bin I see." Should have thought about that before you got a dog.
Yup. Dog nutters actually went out of their way to have their dogs shit on his lawn and filled his bins with shit, because dog owners are the single biggest assholes on earth.
Where are the eco-terrorists blocking roads to protest the proliferation of dogs destroying the environment?
They all have dogs
Gotta love virtue signaling hypocrites.
Source on dog waste being "fertilizing"?
Quite the opposite. Dog shit kills grass just like it kills everything else.
not to mention dog vomit that one sees occasionally.🙄👎🏻
Oh yeah that stuff is NASTY
They're narcissist pieces of shit.
Yup, I'm completely with you here.
I am sick of every morning when I'm walking my kids to school seeing long puddles of dog piss trickling down the pavements and having to make sure we all walk around it to avoid getting it on our shoes. I'm sick of dog shit left on the street, or put in a bag then left on the street or hung off the nearest tree, fence, or bush. I'm sick of having to smell it when someone's dog decides to random stop and take a dump or piss right in front of me in the middle of the path.
And don't get me started on how I have to keep my head down checking said streets most of the damn time as I've ended up stepping in shit so often. I remember when I could actually look up when out on a walk without fear of dog mess being everywhere.
It's just madness. How can anyone live with this?
i could not agree more- infuriating.
They always seem to choose to walk their dogs, especially large aggresive ones, around school drop in/pick up times too. I'm certain they do it on purpose. One of my children is terrified of dogs as well, after multiple bad experiences with them.
I'm over 6 feet tall now, and I still can be scared of some dogs, so I'd hate to still be a 4 foot tall kid and encounter those same dogs.
They absolutely do it deliberately.
Sewers were invented 2000 years ago for obviously damed good reasons. Everyone having multiple large shit cannons in a city just defeats the entire reason we have sewers. Cave men had dogs that were useful to them. Having dogs in the modern world is just uncivilized.
Dogs just destroy the environment and how pretty nature is. All I see is dog waste covered plants, not to mention the stupid dogs chasing the wildlife around and their owners laughing cause it’s “AWW, SO PRECIOUS!” Yeah, your dog looks so cute harassing those innocent little rabbits. Go ahead and keep encouraging its crap behavior instead of training it like all dog owners should train their beasts.
Stinking horrible vermin. Just like their dogs.
Dognutters literally ruined nature... Because they think nature = toilet for their shitbeasts. Now there is almost no clean parks and no clean beaches in this world.
Yeah, I agree. even if they clean the poop, you can't really clean the pee, and I often go to trails with my son. He is a toddler, so obviously he likes to touch everything... But back to your question of why, by nature they need to hang out at some wild forests and stuff, but we humans domesticated them, and think that we gave them a favor when in reality it's opposite.
Someone recently left a bag full of feces on the railing in my buildings stairwell. The apartment literally has a place they could throw it out less than 20 feet from the bottom of said stairwell.
Never, ever wear footwear in your home. Never, ever go outside without shoes on. Because if you do, you ARE bringing dog urine and feces into your house. It’s everywhere. There’s no avoiding it at all.
This is the #1 thing I have against dogs and their owners
Hell yesterday we took a walk and low and behold on the PAVED SIDEWALK were a trail of turds in various stages of being stepped on and smeared. Like the mother effer couldn't even be bothered to let it stop and shit on the side of the path. Nope. The middle of a public park walking space because fuck everyone else right? Just you and your damn dog.
I ride bike paths. I see this all over the place. Insane.
Had some dog owners move in a few doors down a couple months ago, and since then much of the sidewalk in the immediate area has become entirely unusable do to the amount of dog feces that’s been left behind.
Since the sidewalk near their place is covered in shit, they’ve started walking the dog on the other side of the street, which is now being covered in dog feces too.
I cannot live with dog owning neighbors... whenever I move I check out the neighborhood for nutters and their mongrels.. if I hear barking or see them in the vicinity, IKmove on
Unfortunately your dog free neighbors might move one day and then guess who's coming to stay for awhile next? It's sad but dog owners see everything as a dogs toilet. Including the house.
After checking it out for dogs/barking, I bought a house in a wooded neighborhood that was peaceful, private, quiet. A couple years later, the wooded lot next to my house was cleared, a house built, and a f**king kennel appeared right next to my property line. German shepherds. After a week of barking and disturbance, I complained to the owner. I then learned he was a K9 cop- and the son of the town police chief. I quit my job and moved to a house in the woods on an island. True story.
Yeah this too! They just might clear the damn gorgeous woods out from around your house to make room for another building that may have dogs and people in the country looooooove to have a pack of dogs to keep them safe from the random raccoons that may dog in their trash smh. I am disgusted for you. There is like NO WHERE safe in the world from dogs.
It’s vile ! And throwing plastic bags with it everywhere!🤢
I've become a shut in who only leaves the house when absolutely necessary because dog waste is my biggest germaphobia trigger and unfortunately every street in my town reeks and is covered in piles of dog shit and piss, you have to play a constant game of minesweeper to avoid stepping in it.
Agreed. It's actually become such a massive problem that dogs are poisoning the environment. Dog feces and urine is so caustic and noxious, and people bring dogs into natural spaces in such great numbers, that it's causing ecosystems to die off.
But do the dog nutters care? Of course not.
Absolutely agree. I hate it when I'm enjoying a picnic on the grass, or sitting on a bench somewhere and a dog cocks its leg and unleashes a big gush of bright yellow urine on a post or tree right near where I am sitting, and then I can see the puddle or damp patch long after the dog has walked away. This has happened to me TWICE in the last 6 months, and I find it sickening. In both cases the owner had zero shame and continued on as normal, and other people later walked through the biohazard zone without realising.
OR the ole bag full of shit left on a trail that they never come back for. Love adding unnecessary plastic to the equation 😒
We invented sewers to stop our streets being strewn with disease-bearing shit and piss, but dog nutters are taking us back into the medieval ages with their countless shit beasts.
There's an outdoor shopping mall in my town. It's "dog friendly". Literally every vertical surface has a puddle of urine next to it, or trickling across the pavement, or a stain from a previous puddle of piss. It's like a scene from medieval York.
I think this is the argument we need to make. That we shouldn't be living like medieval peasants in piss and shit-ridden squalor because of entitled nutters taking their mutts everywhere. (Apologies to medieval peasants.)
My anguish for dogs absolutely skyrocketed once I started having more hikes in natural parks, mountain ranges and other reservoirs. I love these places of nature where the presence of humankind should be limited, along with their domesticated animals. I enjoy walking on these paths and respecting the nature, sharing a bond with other hikers along the trail. There is a sublime sense of meditation and calmness that passes through me during my hikes.
However, you will encounter tons of awful dogs roaming around, fucking up the natural balance and wildlife. They piss and shit in reservoirs and their owners somehow believe that is is all natural. These decrepit creatures have no business here except if you fully control them while taking care of their shit.
Throughout my life, I revisited some parks in the Alps and was appalled how much dog shit and bags were littered around the areas. This was never the case when I younger, however the necessity to shove dogs everywhere is really taking a toll for these parks.
I remember passing a large inn in the mountains that was part hostel and restaurant. It was closed because it was off-season but the entrance of the place was littered with red shitbags. There were piles everywhere.
Imagine opening up your business when the season starts, only to find your door literally covered in shitbags.
It's absolutely insane how dog owners have such a lack of responsability. It infuriates me.
"It's nature!"
I've noticed that when I have to park my car on the street in my neighborhood, dog owners will just gladly let their beast piss all over the tires.
Disgusting
You realize humans are the only animals who dont shit outside? I understand being mad that they dont pick it up but we are the only animals who dont do that. I doubt you conplain about rabbit ahit outside?
I can distinguish between wildlife and the intentional choice of owning a pissing/shitting machine fouling the environment.. https://blueandgreentomorrow.com/features/truth-about-environmental-impact-of-dogs/
I sometimes ask, 'so, why don't you just have the dog urinate and defecate in your home?'
