It started right from the first at bat with that ridiculous strikeout on Shohei on a ball way out of the zone that the catcher could barely catch and couldn’t frame at all. That ump robbed the Doyers right away and continued the rest of the game.
Freddie with a stinker. Ump being blind. Reliable pitching being not so reliable. Sucks to be walked off by the Giants. Let’s win the next two and take the series.
I didn’t get a chance to watch the end of the game, but looking back in the app, it seems like Wisely’s “hot zone” is that inside corner. So maybe not a great pitch to make to him. 😂🤪
I am calling for a complete and total shutdown of Edwin Jimenez umpiring home plate until our league’s representatives can figure out WHAT THE HELL is going on
Not familiar with Treinen cause I'm new to baseball, but last time I saw him he just kept throwing curveballs/sinkers and can't keep any of them in the strike zone. And ended up giving up runs.
I like Lux and wish there was time to give him a full season but I want to see Mookie at 2nd and bring in a shortstop that can rest Rojas.
I don’t see what else can be done with Lux at that point but to trade him when his value is still pretty good giving that the belief is that he will improve after his first season back.
I won’t like it much but this is the year to close up holes and go all in. Mookie coming back from a hand injury when he was already a bit dicey with throwing has to be a good reason to move him into Lux’s spot. Granted it’s not his throwing hand but still.
I mean I can promise you this won’t happen. The front office just doesn’t think “all in” because consistent success is more important. The playoffs are so random look at all the last few seasons. And they don’t want to move Mookie around. He’s the SS all this season. Lux and Rojas at 2nd. There’s no reason to trade Lux.
Maybe but being embarrassed as a first round knockout again has to be a on their mind I would think and trading Lux isn’t going to unravel any long term success. I think the moves for trade deadline will be offensive for the lack of offense in postseasons past. But it is all just our own opinions after all.
Good game, everyone. New submissions are no longer being hidden. If your submission has not been approved and otherwise follows the sub rules, feel free to resubmit or message the mods if you have any questions.
You want your three best hitters at the top of the batting order so they get more PAs. The lineup used to be Mookie-Shohei-Freddie as 1-2-3. Mookie likes to lead off and Shohei bats in front of Freddie to reduce getting pitched around or walked. Since Mookie got injured, Roberts made Shohei move up a spot.
We get walkoff'd too much this season. Team needs to start finding ways to win these. Was a winnable game with a 6 starter vs their act but our guys in the 9th always seem to lose it
They really broke roja’s hitting streak
