Now all classes can suffer hunter asymmetry equally
Titans have been the kings of asymmetrical gear since the dawning of the Vanguard, simply based on having a class item that's half a skirt. And let's not forget about their infatuation with the 1 huge shoulder pad style...
Same could be said about warlocks only having a bond on one arm
But yea, titan and hunter have alot of asymmetrical stuff going on but i feel it the most on hunter given the mass amount of arms having one arm go hard and the other just eh.. (most egregious example for me are the solar specific arms)

The Witness has robes! We finally have a raid boss that literally wears robes and they couldn't have given them to Warlocks??? What were they thinking?
Pardon my french but what the fuck is this greek looking cloth crap on the armor? What on Earth is that huge fucking flag on the Hunter cloak? What is going on? How is this even close to the aesthetic of the Witness or Subjugators or any of the bosses? For 2 years we have been looking at the robes of the Witness with cool moving parts, why couldn't have they gone for that kind of aesthetic? Give us that plus the cool smoke effect, but nooo we have to make a completely unrelated looking armor set with unnecessary crap fused onto it left and right.
I'm sorry, I get that fashion is subjective and there are some people that will like this but what the fuck happened to wearing your enemy's clothes like a hat? The raid armor should reflect the achievements of beating the raid and look similar to the boss/raid aesthetic, not be some shit you'd see in an extravagant fashion show.
Nah you’re being pretty polite about it but this armor is dogshit. I don’t want anyone to lose jobs obviously, but whoever designed these sets should be moved somewhere where their creativity can be better used. They clearly have a wild visions but for armor it’s just not working in the slightest. The hunter cape is genuinely one of the worst in the entire game, and I refuse to believe people actually like it for more than just meme status
Agree, this is the ugliest raid set so far I think. And I honestly didn't think they could possibly design anything uglier than the RoN set, yet here we are. Most of the armour in d2 has been good the last couple of years (like season pass stuff, the new dungeons etc, crota sets) but damn these last 2 new raids have come with some hideous designs.
I'm glad some people like it, but in all honesty I question their sanity.
The pyramid aesthetic is extravagant fashion show. I am really open to this weird shit and appreciative of trying radical new looks in such a long running IP, but even I have to admit.... this set ain't it chief. If you'd told me that the warlock robes are a blue rarity I'd believe you.

I think they couldve made light/dark armor a lot cooler than what it ended up being and I continue to not be a fan of the abstract and faceless designs they keep make for raids.

Titans imo got the best set, I'm a warlock main and have no clue why they would practically put a flag on the Warlock robes or that pointy mosquito helmet. The hunter cloak is also odd because of the asymmetry.

They have been on this shit since D2 came out. They had some art lead come out and say that they actively try to do shit like this because they know people want basic stuff but they’re bent on trying to get people to like the high fashion/art vogue shit they pull with these raid armors. That and they said they make all titan shoulders fucking gigantic so you can tell it’s a titan lmao, same thing with the hunters never being symmetrical, it’s like a weird thing they won’t give up on even though they know we all dislike it.
yeah, most of their stuff in d2, especially raids, just feels like a bad attempt at knockoff warframe style armor to me.
I must say, this is a bad reward for such a hard raid.
The weapons are pretty underwhelming if you ask me.
Another case of "took the default model and added a funny frame cover to it". Same as RoN. VoTD weapons are peak raid weapon design though.
I like the exotic, although looks wise it fits RoN more. It genuinely looks like its made out of Nezarec's clapped cheeks or something.

We haven’t had a cool raid set in so long, I honestly expected more from the pinnacle of a ten year journey. The raids fun tho.
Raid gear has been so undesirable for me since like, Deep Stone Crypt. The armour for the last 3 new raids have armour that don't mix with anything and barely look good on their own, and the weapons (aside from VotD) are just reused models with tumerous growths attached to them.
I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but if you haven’t seen, the armor for the next three episodes are some of the coolest armor bungies ever made. It’s what raid armor should be. Even the concept weapons look amazing
why did they put that weird shadow in the character screen. like this is the only place there should not be very intense shadows at all on anything. some parts of you are now completely dark unlike before

I looked at all the raid armor for each class, not a fan of it. While I do like the mix of light and dark colors and the texture, it’s a little strange looking and not in a good way imo. Others may like it, but it’s not for me.

Ever since Vow of the Disciple, raid armor (at least for warlocks) has been incredibly underwhelming. Some pieces from RoN look unique or cool (like the chest piece) - but man it’s so disappointing. I was really hoping for some cool warlock armor this time around :(

This armor set will singly handedly keep me from farming the weapons. I’m the type of person who has to suffer through at least 10 armor drops before Bungie starts giving me weapons and I’m just not doing that with this horrendous set.

The only real decent piece from this set is the arms for the Hunter. The helmets are kinda basic in design, just being kinda featureless.
I wonder if the idea is maybe the white portions are supposed to be the Precursor race customary design, and the darkness Resonance influence is what the darker half represents. That’s kinda all I got for speculation.
