Ravenous

I had times like that for sure. Days in a row where I was super hungry. I’m on week 5 now and that’s gone. Hang in there. I wonder if it’s just the body figuring things out.

Depending on what part of my cycle I'm in, sometimes Contrave cannot touch the hunger. I get ravenous in the week leading up to my period and I may as well not even be on it, haha.

I am a year in and still have absolute ravenous weeks here and there. Honestly more so when I’m like PMS’ing. But I give in to my wants and know it’s just a phase and always get back on track and to my normal less hungry self again. So sounds pretty normal to me. Hang in there, and good luck on your journey. 

The first week I was ravenous too, but I felt the medication helped me control it.

I am on week 5. I have had that happen for periods of time too. (Kinda whenever I increased my dosage, I think) Give it time.

YES! I was so frustrated about this in the beginning too. I’m not sure if it was a side effect of the med or if it was because I was actually eating less / snacking less than usual and it freaked my body out. I don’t know, I’m like 10 weeks in and a couple days of the week. I am still definitely ravenous, but I have lost a little weight despite that.

That’s me today - day 5 of meds. It’s the first night I had trouble sleeping was kind of thinking maybe it’s connected.

Hi there!! I notice when I am hungry much more now that I am on Contrave than before. My stomach grumbles, but I have figured it out. Before, I would eat more often, snacking in between meals, never really giving myself the opportunity to get hungry, let alone hungry enough for my stomach to growl. Now, I have a protein shake for breakfast so I can take my medicine, and then I don't get hungry or even think about food until my stomach reminds me! It is awesome! Also, I know I am much more active now, and so I am sure my body is asking for more good, nutritious food to keep me going!
