If you're going for a kb2040 based project, this is definitely the way to go.

I’ve actually used that one a lot and it works very well. The program to program it is a bit sketch but does work.

It looks like it’s micro usb, but the ones you can get on Amazon are type C.
I know they come in 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x5, 2x3, and 4x5. Might be more options.

Get a kb2040 from adafruit or look at the gp2040ce project, which also has a kb mode
