I know someone who "sold" their cashapp account, my questions are these: 1. Why would someone want to buy another's cashapp? 2. What if the person who sold it still has access? What would happen if he cashed out whatever is on the card? Besides having the shady person he sold it to beating his ass(or worse), since it is technically his account he shouldn't have legal repercussions, should he? (Unless of course the money came from a shady source, which it probably did) Sorry that's so confusing.
I agree, and I'm sure he knew it when he let them buy it (but money is more important to some people than not doing shady shit). I'm just curious about the legal aspect of it.
Scammers want accounts that are tied to legitimate identities. The owners are on the hook for fraud committed on their old account.
They also want older accounts that let them get away with more dodgy stuff.
Often scammers will check if you are bitcoin enabled or have a certain routing number before offering to buy your account.

Illegal online game rooms on FB want to buy CashApp’s because they always have to switch it up to legitimate ones until it gets shut down, since Cashapp is the only way to fund your online game account.
They are legal gaming platforms. However all cash apps have limits, so once the limit is reached, whether it's the amount that can be paid into said account or the amount that can be paid out, they are useless until it resets. And sometimes useless thereafter, depending on a few different factors.

theft, fraud and money laundering
Help please.... i started noticing a strange account in my cash app debits. I noticed there were transactions to a friend that I helped buy sent her money for food hotel etc. But it wasnt her name anymore. Curious as to how she came up with her new tag name, I asked her and she said she sold that cash app account. Now I am really confused.why? And what does that mean for my account. Can the new person have access to anything about me or my account
