Looking for recommendations for a good vit c serum you like that is also affordable? Looking for something to help with hyperpigmentation- my skin type is acne prone and also sensitive.
Sephora brand Vitamins C&E Ultra Glow Serum. Even my dental hygienist commented that my face was glowing
MaeLove’s is great!

The Ordinary’s Vitamin C is under $10
Came here for this. The Serum in the brown bottle is the bomb. All the rest burns.
They have a few - is there one in particular you like?
Vitamin C suspension 30% in silicone
Burned my face and my daughters.
Oh no! So sorry to hear!
The L Ascorbic Acid powder is fantastic, and lasts longer than many liquid suspensions. You do have to mix it yourself with a serum or moisturizer but it’s worth the extra work.
Indeed laboratories vitamin c serum, at shoppers for $20! I loved it. Recently stopped using it as I’ve simplified my beauty routine but it was awesome and at such a great price.
Came here to say this! Just switched to Indeed Labs (I was using Skin republic but it oxidised very quickly on me) and it's working well.

Interesting that you mention this - I’ve always been intrigued by indeed labs and been wanting to try them out. Do you mean their vitamin C drops or their C24?
The drops! I honestly really liked it and at that price point, you really can’t lose.
Do you know if the drops are better than the C24?
I really like the mad hippie vitamin c. Think I’ve been able to get it for about 30 ish.
Where do you get it from?
I think last time I got it on sale from iHerb.com
This is what I use too!
I’ve been loving the Physicians Formula Vitamin C Serum. I think it’s around $30. I also use Soap & Glory Vitamin C scrub a few days a week. My face brightened immensely since using both.
The Inkey List has super affordable skin care; although I love almost every product from them, I didn’t notice a difference with their Vit C Serum.

I’ve been on a Korean skin care kick of late and found a couple vitamin c serums I liked, Jumiso All Day Firming vitamin c serum (23$) and Goodal Green Tangerine dark spot serum (29$). The Jumiso serum I mentioned comes in the dark bottle, I have used their serum in the orange bottle and that one is apparently more gentle.
I use Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E and have been liking it so far. You can usually find it from $30-$40 on Amazon.
I’ve been thinking about purchasing it from Amazon. How has your experience been?
I’ve been using it for 3+ months now and have noticed a big improvement in my acne scars. I find I can use less concealer and makeup now because my skin is much more even. It has a small brightening effect too. It’s a thin consistency, like water, and absorbs fairly quickly. Has a bit of a smell, like sour hot dog water, but I think that’s pretty common for vit C. The packaging is great too (no dropper) and mine arrived completely clear.
That’s great to hear! Do you have the link for the one you purchased? There’s a few sellers on Amazon.ca so I’m afraid of purchasing a fake one.
For sure! Here’s the one I bought: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B0036BI56G?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
What is affordable to you? This differs
Unfortunately, most Vitamin C Serums fail in their packaging - Using dropper-style bottles which expose the serum to oxygen and/or not using opaque bottles which expose it to light. I avoid any product that fails on those 2 key points.
I also love AB (Asian Beauty) skin products; however, I find that a lot of them use percentages that are much too high which irritates my skin.
I started using a vitamin C serum made in Canada which I am very happy with and has very good ingredients. It does use ascorbic acid as well as one of the best derivatives Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THD). https://www.glowjar.ca/products/am-vitamin-c-serum
