Looking for cheap plastic forks

This problem will get worse and worse until you tell the Scouts to bring own utensils. Then they will figure out how to be responsible. We tried a LOT of other solutions. None of them worked.

get bamboo ones (or those paper based)? worse case they lose them, they are bio degradable?

Kalas from ikea? Forks knives and spoons x 6 for $2 can spear a sausage well but the knives are (understandably) a bit shit

The packs of bamboo disposable cutlery are also good because you can wash and reuse a couple of times. Just don’t take a whole bunch when you don’t need it. 

Check Walmart’s camping section. They have heavy duty plastic sets meant for camping for super cheap.

Ask on buy nothing. Often folks will have extras that they don't need.

Chopsticks

If you do a search for GSI forks you will find them for under a dollar on numerous websites.

We require everyone bring their own mess kit. Even if it’s just a plastic disposable fork and a paper plate, because we don’t supply silverware or plates. Often someone will forget their mess kit but the scouts are good about lending a plate or spoon, etc.

We just refill on silverware from goodwill/thrift stores every so often.   Works for utensils as well.

Total cost - $5 for 3 years worth of metal forks.

I buy these cheap plastic disposables on Amazon.

I usually go to Wendy’s. They have a bunch prepackaged with a napkin. They’re usually in the condiments section. Buy a burger or a breakfast if you feel guilting running off with a fist full.

Costco or smart and final have plastic silverware in bulk packs for cheap. The only difference between a plastic fork and a camp plastic fork is 4 letters (C-A-M and a P. I love to spell. Ah ah.) costing at least $0.20 each.

If you want metal forks for the irresponsible children to evaporate, go to goodwill. Someone was throwing them out. Now they can get some use. Other option is smart and final for their restaurant grade metal utensils. They’re cheap because they know people will run off with them.
