Losing to Edmonton sucks.

Given how many breakaways they had in the first. We should be considering ourselves lucky it was really only a one goal game. It's extra salt in the wound that the go ahead was the plinko esque bounce we saw.

• Coronato's conditioning has improved, now the kid just needs to eat his wheaties and put on some pounds.
• Klapka looked great for his first NHL game and it being BoA.

Bad 1st period + losing to a fluky goal + facing the destroyer of worlds Edmonton Oilers. Most games we win with that effort in the 2nd and 3rd. We move on.

I always hoped Flames would be part of Canadian History for a win streak…But not like this 

We’re back into that frustrating position where we can’t take any comfort in the losses because we are nowhere near bad enough to get a good draft pick. I hate being mid.

We missed Pospisil. Klapka needs to stay. Coronato needs to get stronger. I think they rushed Gilbert back. Osterle and Ruzicka need to go and not come back. Mang needs a fresh start. Vladar is a quality NHL goalie. Predicting Lindholm to Avs, soon.

I hated hockey this week. First that loss to the Leafs and now the damn oilers

Edmonton should have gotten a game misconduct for those pants. What the hell was that. Was it a joke that wasn't expected to be taken seriously.

Stupidest goal I’ve ever seen for the GWG. Louie DeBrusk on the broadcast was talking like it was all hard word work on the forecheck lol… weird huge bounce over the flames D man on the boards. Off the other D’s stick and somehow bounces directly backwards off Vladar’s glove. Fluke. Oh well.

tbh if that second puck bounce goal didnt happen there was a chance to win, but we definitely didnt play good enough (by a fucking 100 km too) to deserve the win, sucks ass because of how well vladar played tonight and kept bailing us out on breakaways after we turned over the puck

Keep Hanifin, trade all the expiring deals for whatever they get, trade Markstrom for a young defenseman, draft with the picks you get and let the guys develop so you can be competitive in 3-5 hopefully. Stop being mid

Thats OK, I don't have high hopes for the Flames to make into the 2nd round playoffs nor even making it it, but them smelly Oilers fans think they will win the cup but will see a 2nd round exit 😉.

Said it before but Vladar gets better the more he plays. I can see why Conroy wants to get fair value back.

They're doing a disservice to Coronato by recalling him. He's not ready. What he needs more than anything is an off season dedicated to getting stronger and to get him some explosiveness in his skating That's one of the biggest differences between the NHL the AHL; a lot more time and space to get a shot off or make a play in the latter than the former.

Oesterle had 9 minutes of ice time. Gilbert just under 10. Conroy and Huska need to get this sorted (aka recall Solovyov) because that's just sad.

Hopefully we start seeing some of the UFA's moved soon. The longer they wait, the more complicated it'll become as more and more teams will fall out of the race and look to sell.
