Sharing a few budget travel tips for Iceland based on a September 2021 trip:
- Rent a car or camper van, and max out your insurance... I paid a hefty fee when the wind blew open my car door and caused some significant damage.
- Book accommodation with access to a kitchen, restaurant food is expensive but grocery store provisions are reasonably priced.
- Buy duty free alcohol on arrival at the airport.
- Scenic views and and many incredible hot pools are free!
