I've noticed my parents have an entirely made up idea of what happened when we were growing up. Sometimes I almost want to smash something when my dad tries to tell me how something went down, like I wasn't there. And I know it's not a lie, they really believe it.

Do all parents do this, or is it a Boomer thing?

EDIT: never had a post have any traction at all so this is inspiring. My stories are nearly as shocking as many of you have experienced. But, it is so wonderful to know that: (a) I am not just imagining things; and (b) they can't seem to help themselves.
