Man as someone from southern Belgium I'm trying to learn Flemish and literally every fucking belgian subreddit you have people bringing up muslims or overal politics 24/7. Our country is already small af can y'all at least try to make it entertaining
Be honest with yourself what is the French speaking comunity doing to keep the country together? Because as far as I can see the only reason you can come up with is either "we'll be too small" but really they just vote for socialist parties to keep the socialist systems running. None of them are really interested in building a united prosporous Belgium. Atleast the Flemish are interested in working towards a better future without leaching on to others. Most Walloons won't even try to speak English to connect with the upper half of the country let alone Dutch.
I am from the French/German part of Belgium and I also think that our part of Belgium is more focused on the people, it is also a bit sad to see the architectural monuments in the french speaking part from the 1800s that we have here that are being treated like shit. And if you look on the German side like in Eupen you can see how well those are treated and how much they care about their history, I don't know If it's gonna change in a timely manner but I sure hope so.
I also hope that all of this "immigrant Thema" can be over fastly because I am 19 years old and I grew up with it, I cannot understand how our elders can as much pollute the political world with it, maybe there are solutions, maybe not, but It Is hard for me to believe that if our kingdom goes unwell it is because of others.
I wish ya'll a very good Week-end, Bon Week-end, Schönen wochenende, Prettig weekend. Bise

it reminds me of a funny and sad conversation I heard between a french tourist and a wallon guy, who was pointing at a Mosan architecture facade and told the french guy "see, this is the typical Walloon architecture", and the french guy said "oh cool! is there a city around where this walloon architecture is well preserved?"
and the wallon guy said, unironically: "Yes, Maastricht."
Haha love it
