Vilnius-Riga, Riga-Tallinn drive Discussion

We'll be driving from Vilnius to Riga to Tallinn next week (3 days in each city with one-day drive in between).
Looking for best stops on the way. ChatGPT has made some suggestions, looking for human input :)

Prefer to limit detours and go relatively direct to avoid increasing drive times too much. We plan to drive out to Trakaj, Sigulda, Lahemaa on our second days in the cities. Looking for scenic/historical/interesting stops.

Vilnius-Riga (skipping Kaunas, Hill of Crosses).

Riga-Tallinn (not exactly sure what's at those stops?)

Comments/suggestions would be appreciated.

Omg i found sekret battle plans on how Latvia and Lithuania's plans to overtake Ruhnu !!!!Meme

What are the Baltic's word for Twilight?Discussion

Originally I was going to ask r/estonia, but idk what happened to that sub. So, going here, might as well ask for all 3. What's the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian word for "Twilight"?

Because google translate is definitely not reliable. For Latvian and Lithuanian ("Krēsla", "Prieblanda", is this even right?) google is pretty consistent, but for Estonian, not really. Sometimes it's "Hämar", sometimes it's "Hämarus", sometimes it's "Videvik", it's pretty confusing to me. It's probably something with the grammar, so please explain if you can.

So um, what's the word for Twilight? Or the closest equivalent, if it doesn't have a word for it.

Edit: Woops, didn't know about r/Eesti, thanks!

Dear Estonians, please tell me all about EKRE and why it's the second biggest party in Riigikogu.:estonia: Estonia

(If this topic was already discussed in the subreddit, please link it.)

I'm Lithuanian, and out of pure curiousity I am doing research about the Baltic countries and their governments.

I decided to start with Estonia and immediately was left in shock when I found out that an ultranationalist, anti-immigration, anti-LGBTQ+ conservative right-wing party is the second-biggest political party in Estonia (although the number of seats between EKRE and Reform leaves a big gap). I guess the shock came mostly from the fact that Estonia is seen as the most progressive out of all three Baltic states in most aspects, at least.

P.S. If any Lithuanians know about this party, is there a specific political party in Lithuania that would be a great comparison to EKRE? Would love to know, thanks.
