I’m sure this has been discussed before, but I’m from the UK and work on a 5 week on/5 week off rotation in Saudi on a multiple entry business visa there.
Because my circumstances have changed in the UK now, I was thinking about the possibility of living in Bahrain on my time off and then work in Saudi when on duty.
Is there a reasonable way to this where I would be able to rent an apartment there and be able to leave and enter the kingdom whenever I need to?
Any help is appreciated!
I work in Saudi, live in Bahrain, and commute every day. Takes me around an hour to get to work in the morning (4:30-5:00 AM) and around 1.5 hrs to get home from work (6:00 PM).
It’s possible to do so; I’d suggest looking for apartment in the areas closer to the causeway - for example, Hamala or Al-Jasra. Certain areas tend to get extremely congested in the mornings (7-9 AM) & afternoon when kids get off school and employees off work so make sure you take that into consideration too.
There are new apartments in Liwan that I’ve seen but am not sure about the cost of renting - might be worth checking out.
