Like, you're ship just got hijacked and you got dumped into the ocean when you were expecting a birthday party. Your crewmates around you, some of whom are your friends, are probably gonna drown, you might drown, and the lowly engineer whose birthday it is who really thought the captain remembered his birthday is floating next you, probably wanting to die, probably just hating this cruel world and ready to sink to the bottom, and you have the absolute decency, the sheer f&@#!ng compassion, to remain calm and wish this poor guy a happy birthday. Not all heroes are benders.
Birthday on the airship guy is very funny and def my next pick, but I wish this would get top comment bc Huu is such a badass and I rarely see people talking about him!
The absolute champ who teaches Sokka swordfighting and helped him forge the space sword. White Lotus member and says that he knew full well that Sokka was from the Water Tribe but that no nation owns the art of swordfighting, so he taught him anyway.
Fuckin Jeong Jeong man. I maintain that he had some of the most impressive non-comet enhanced firebending feats we see in the whole show. And he’s just cool as shit.
The Earth Kingdom General who tried forcing Aang into the Avatar State. His methods were radical near the end but he had an extremely good point. 100 years is not a short time to be a part of a war, and the suffering the world has endured is clear. With the Avatar State perfected, it would radically increase the war effort.
That's what I'm saying omg
It's so easy to say "Waaah but he is not ready😭" but people forget that the fire nation put the world through a genocide and erased and ruined thousands, if not millions of lifes and continues to do so with every second Aang does not fight back.
I won't imagine what horror the Earth Kingdom General had to go through in this war.
Exactly. Also everyone involved in the war has been through it and probably been traumatized by it since childhood. Although not his fault, Aang was REALLY late
You think you're any different from me or your friends or this tree? If you listen hard enough, you can hear every living thing breathing together. You can feel everything growing. We're all living together, even if most folks don't act like it. We all have the same roots and we are all branches of the same tree.
Secret tunnel guy and piandao. Actual genius should be Toph she literally learned how to earthbend from moles while blind and became the best earthbender in the verse aside from maybe Kyoshi.
Teo. His friendship with Aang is incredibly underrated, and I only wish they got more scenes together in book 3. I love what he represents to Aang as well; the idea that even though the air nomads may be gone, there are still people like Teo who embody their spirit and beliefs. Plus the fact that Teo and his father are ultimately the ones who give Aang his second airbending staff, that's just the cherry on top for me.
Piandao. The man is quite old, maybe a little younger than Paku, but he goes samuraising even blind, on ice, or against comet buffed firebenders.
He is also an artist and potential father figure for someone (maybe not for Sokka but he could for someone else given how gentle he is). He also trained the Blue Spirit
Yeah yeah yeah, he might already be the favorite character of all time, but he is so much more than that: a stoic philosopher, a portrayal of healthy masculinity and basically your personal therapist. Giving him a title once does not serve him right.
Sure we know she’s good, but she goes toe to toe with almost the entire gAang, azula can do that, ozai cant. That’s power, imagine if sokka was soloing zuko and iroh, that’s the kind of power we’re talking
Jet being marked the most overrated character immediately made me lose respect and interest in this post series. No one likes jet, get this BS out of here
The guy whose birthday was on the airship:)
