God, my mom believes all these transphobic conspiracy theories (I’m an autistic bigender person) and she’s said repeatedly before that autistic people are more ‘susceptible to falling for this’ and last night I sent her some videos talking about why the link between transness and neurodivergence is a natural, normal thing, but this morning she came into my room and told me that “she wasn’t the one that needs to be convinced” and kept doubling down on her transphobia, and said that “it wasn’t meant to be insulting, it’s just being honest.” I’ve told her so many times before that AS an autistic bigendet person it IS insulting, and just blatantly transphobic and ableist, and she just keeps saying “You can only speak for yourself.”
