Anyone else have a pup who unties their shoes while trying to walk?
And then they give you the “what did I do?!” look
Exactly what he does when I ask him! The cutest guilty face.
If you're going to be a professional asshole, being cute is a survival strategy.
Your heelers colors and pattern is so nice I love it!
He’s definitely a handsome boy!
"When you trip i can give you face kissies!!!"
No cause I trained her not to D:
I did this by holding a long rope toy and dragging it behind me. She'd go for the toy and not my feet.
Luckily he only does it if we’re running downhill from our hike, so I know when to expect it. I didn’t catch it on video but he nips at my sleeves while doing this too.
This was one of the first things I tought my ACD. Well, tried to. He's a little over a year now and now he just mouths my foot while I'm trying to put my shoes and socks on..... He does still do this when super excited, but I stop the cute little fucker immediatley.
He only does it if I’m running downhill with him. Most the time I think it’s fun/funny, but he’s almost taken me down a few times.
My pig does it lol!
Love the innocent face at the end
Same! He’s like, “I thought this was our favorite game???”
Mine loves the fur on my boots and my coat.
When he was a pup I had fur on my boots, and I think that’s when he started! He loved nipping those boots lol
Oh my gosh he is so darn cute!!
I agree 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have a pastel heeler too!
Is that what they’re called? I’ve never heard that term! People ask if he’s red or blue, I just point and say both?
Lol thats what i say lol!
Aww, what a prankster!!
Mine just gets fed up with me for not walking at a 10 mph pace and constantly has to wait for me 😂
My partner has a blue pair of running shoes that ours nips at them when we run. So, literally she’s a blue Heeler.
Hah perfect!
The way a heeler looks at you is different than either other breed, I swear.
For real! This little guy looks deep, and knows me so well!
When my ACD/AS puppy does this, I tell him "leave it".... but I also say this a minimum of 1 million times per day at this point.. lol
Ours still does sometimes, but she knows she’s not supposed to and she knows she’s allowed to play with us with toys, so more often now I get her jamming a toy into my feet while I’m walking around. Baby steps.
It’s somewhat alarming what behavior people seem to allow from their acd’s. Yes, they are very intense, but if I saw this dog in public and knew nothing about dogs, I would think…I don’t want that breed. I think that not only allowing this behavior in public gives a bad impression, it gives your dog permission to behave like this. I’m sure it’s an unpopular opinion, but you should never accept any behavior from anyone you love that makes you think they’re an asshole. Kids, partners, dogs…cats get a pass. But if you’re the one that loves them and think ‘Asshole’ then how is the outside world going to think about them and treat them? Love isn’t always about kindness.
Thankfully not.
Eh, this good boy hikes 4 miles a day, 5 days a week. If he wants to untie my shoes once in awhile, it’s more cute than annoying. Although it can be pretty annoying lol.
I did ... but i shot him ..... (ok jokes) - no, but that looks kind of annoying.....
it’s a young Australian heeler thats all they want to do is heal as grabbing your pants leg or shoe laces my Queensland red healer would deflate the front tire on my bicycle by biting it while i was riding it so get ready for the fun
He will be 6 next month 😂 He’s actually a very good boy, and this isn’t common. Still hates bikes, but is trained well enough that he hasn’t chased or attacked one in years.
My cow dog did this as a puppy. Thankfully, she grew out of it.
Its a puppy thing, my corgi grew out of it in 4-6 months. Every now and then she will try to do this but its less frequent now.
“Don’t trip me, no, don’t trip me” Yeah it’s a thing
“Can you not?”
I say this to my heeler a minimum of 3 times a day lmao. Little menaces, good thing they’re so cute.
