Appreciation post for these young guys. They did a spot on representation of young Al & Earn.
As a non-American, I was baffled as to why Al was dressed like Idi Amin.
💀
baby idi
Hahahahshaha
I thought he was a boy scout lmfao
This the best comment I’ve ever seen on Reddit
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💀💀
“Ayeeee they got snitches in here!!!!!!” -Young Al
"Do you know why you're here, Alfred?"
"Racism. Not everyone's gonna like me."
“Yo Earn did you catch Dragonball Z last night?!” “Nah, my mom saw the black guy with the big lips and now she thinks it’s racist…”
i wonder how many kids were actually forced to stop watching dbz because of mr popo
Couple friends of mine would get me to draw dbz characters and borrow the manga when we were kids at bear creek middle school. I went to Creekside High in South Fulton. The point is that I did this because of some parents. Honestly, I'm not going to even bring up Asian Xenophobia.
Just looked that character up and as someone who never watched I’m quite shocked it’s not more famous for… that
It is.
When I watched DBZ in second grade we were on the bus making jokes about how racist Popo looked. I think it’s accepted he’s racist looking af by everyone who has ever seen him.
Alfred in a cadet uniform is the funniest thing.
It made me laugh so hard
This kids wearing FIBI 😂
Sad episode they bullied that kid because his family couldn't afford Name Brand materialistic clothes then the ending was very dark
No his family could Ern had the fake one
i think they meant that the kids bullying the real fubu kid were under the impression that his was fake and Earn's was real, hence the commenter pointing out how shallow the bullies' values were
That was a regular occurrence in school. “Yo jump man got a ass crack”
I got bullied for my Team Jordan's in 7th grade.
Mike ain’t never wore those 😂😂😂 I know the feeling
it was regular, dont mean it's not fucked up.
I’m saying them kids weren’t fucked up or had misplaced priorities they were just kids
man when i was a kid i didnt make fun of no one for having fake shit. more power to em honestly, some of that fake shit go hard
and i never said the kids themselves were fucked up, we all do weird shit sometimes. the action of clowning another person for having a piece of clothing is fucked up. as far as im concerned there's people of all ages who just wanna tear others down, just cuz they're in middle school dont make the action any different
I was a poor kid in a city full of poor kids. We just cut ass for no reason builds character
and that's understandable, for anyone really. but im not attaching the characteristic of that action to the characteristics of that human being. can they overlap sometimes? sure, but no one's bringing the integrity of these children into the conversation. just that the action of bullying someone into suicide is fucked up, even if they didn't know it was gonna go that far
That’s the whole point
the way i was reading the person above's comment seemed like they misunderstood what the person they replied to said. if they didn't, my bad
I always got the impression that both were fake.
Ern got that shit from Marshall’s
other kid probably got his from Ross
Ross and Marshall’s
The fact that he had the real Fubu and still punched his clock because of the bullying (among other things, of course) was a helluva gut punch.
Ayo they got snitches up in here!
that shit was hilarious
I like how they actually look like the adult version of them.
Maybe the one playing earn a little bit, but the kid on the right looks nothing like Al aside from him being a bigger person and having darker skin. They got the shade right..🤷 sorry I'm a face person. I never forget one and my mind breaks down all the little details. .
You right. It’s tricky tho. Casting goal is to find the balance. 1. Look like Al or close. 2. Be a good actor/right for the part.
Facts. All they really need to have is the same profile and the rest is based on talent, I'd rather have a better actor in the role then a mini me looking kid who does a terrible acting job. . Nice break down
You right
Yeah they don’t look like them at all, they both have way different features.
It actually bothered me a lot.
Watched this episode with my dad who has taught in a pretty rough area for the past 20 years, first time I’ve seen him on the verge of tears for a few years
I went to the middle school that’s mentioned in the synopsis (Miller Grove), which I believe this episode is based on and I must say it was pretty close to my experience. The episode made me remember a lot of things that I wish stayed forgotten.
Laughing tears or sad tears?
This is one of my favorite episodes tbh. I’ve rewatched this one and the barber episode at least five times
I love this show, I swear some mornings I wake up wondering if what I'm thinking about was a dream or an episode from this show with how crazy/weird some of the episodes got.
Van beating the hell outta someone with a stale baguette in France still feels like a dream.
U need to get up get out and do something
Don’t let the days of your life pass by
Ran into this post… went to watch the episode. Didn’t realize the other fubu kid is B Micky from BMF lol
Also the “his dad is like 30” line was some real shit, take it from someone who had older and foreign parents. When it came to being fresh, they ain’t give a shit lol
Al looks like a mini idi Amin
I love how Al is ROTC

it’s over sadly 🙏🏿
Always felt like the adult actors based their roles around the child actors lol. Spot on. Another reason Atlanta the best!
They did such a good job on this it makes me wish we had a flashback episode for Darius or Van too
No joke maybe my favorite episode of the show because it captured the feeling of being a kid so damn well.
As a former jrotc kid watching this episode about made me shed a tear. The entire thing hit way too close to home
Lmao
fake ass FUBU
The kid that played Al, bossed it.
Is there a link? I'm out of the loop
Random as hell but MUCH appreciated. Thanks for this
Is that ken carson???
These bums look ai generated

Al dress code killed me. Scout or Militant Leader who knows but this episode banged.
This was posted in this sub 6 years ago. Karma farm
Al yeah but young Earn I feel didn’t act lightskin enough. Though that scene in class where he was being a smartass was spot on. Overall Al 10/10 and Earn 7/10
lmao. What???
Wdym lol
🚮 performance by young earn.. the other kid did Great tho .. actually looking back literally every other kid on the show had more charisma than young earn.. (Yall downvoting cuz you know it’s true) it’s ok 🫂
