It’s mindlowing to me that the Hawks keep ending up and seem content with being average at best. Call a spade a spade but the Hawks are a bunch of B, C, and D players. Seeing all these other teams making power moves and the Hawks aren’t even in the conversation. I get Snyder wants to put his own team together but it seems the Hawks are stuck in a cycle of “rebuild mode” but aren’t really building anything besides a mediocre team. Hawks are looking like another Snyder team aka the Jazz who were always just semi good to mediocre. Wouldn’t be shocked if they trade Trae before the season or by the trade deadline and probably for some no name players and 3 future picks.
Off season is far from over
Paul George - Philly Klay is going to the Lakers or Mavs Derozan isn’t coming here KCP to the Magic Tobias Harris to Detroit Hartenstien to Thunder Derrick Jones to Clippers Valanciunas to Wizards Chris Paul to Spurs Eric Gordon to 76ers Kevin Porter to Clippers Drummond to 76ers
….am I missing something but none of those teams say Hawks which means we will get the leftovers AKA average at best players
Thankful we have no way to possibly spend $212M on 34-year old Paul George
I’m not saying to get a Paul George but do you think the Hawks have made any movement in the past 24 hours or added any decent players to the roster. Got rid of Murray for basically nothing but hope
Nice cut off. “24 hours” to conveniently not count any of the additions to the roster in Risacher and Daniels who are both good fits for the roster and system
With what cap space were we going to acquire any of these guys?
And what would we do with them once we had them?
We brought in DJ. Coming off 20 PPG, 9 APG, 8 RPG.
We wanted him here because we needed someone other than Trae to create.
Otherwise Trae gets trapped and we're in Miami Series Redux forever.
But as we have seen, the fit with Trae has not worked.
Neither is a true POA defender and both are possession-heavy scorers.
I don't think this guy actually knows anything about all the players he's listing.
