Why my neighbors don’t confront midnight music lovers?

Why their immediate neighbours do not confront them?

How do you know they don't? Or haven't tried in the past. That seems a pretty big assumption to be starting from.

Because generally people blasting loud music at 1am are not nice kind people that will welcome their neighbours asking them to turn their music down. They know they’re bothering people and still doing it. If you go there there’s the chance they won’t listen and/or get aggressive.

I mean assuming the building is council owned you could speak to the council. When my sister and BIL were struggling with noise pollution someone came out to assess whether they were making "nuisance noise" they found out they hadn't carpeted the place and had to ADHD dyspraxics sitting at the dinning table... Safe to say the neighbour complaining was an asshole, but if they are genuinely making nuisance noise report them if you actually want something to change.

I don’t confront my neighbours because I assume they will get aggressive and not turn it off.

It just doesn’t bother me that much. 

It just look like tit for tat.

My neighbours often listen to loud rock, whether they like it or not.
