Greetings. I’ll be traveling the AT next year probably be starting in the winter nobo then a turn around.
I expect to work as I travel - manual labor- in the towns along the way. Does anybody have any experience or know any of the areas around the trail?
Going by your post history, it seems like you have experience with homelessness. Some hostels have work for stay options. It also takes time to get off trail find work, negotiate the price, and complete said work. Do you have experience with cash labor jobs?
I would really recommend getting as much of a war chest of funds ahead of time. For example doing a yo-yo hike could have you blow through 10 pairs of trail runners.
