I just have to say to them that I don’t see any of them taking direct action to create their Marxist state. A revolution does not take a day.
So many MLs are shitting on CHAZ because it relies on state utilities, so it isn’t really autonomous.
The Fox headlines are gold. One said "Seattle law has lost all will to fight" making it seem like the whole Seattle forces lost the non-existent war. lol
Ah here the warlord bit had me dying!
Hate to be the first to break it to you but anarchists don't have leaders, what they have are liberals and far right attempting to gaslight. Funniest thing but I could have sworn that the new York cop budget is equivalent to the defence budget of several small nations combined so unless the cops plan to start a war defund the police
Yeah, those people are most definitely not armed and ready to take on any military force, but I’m happy for them.
Werent there some guys open carring and wuth presence of the John Brown Gun Club?
I wish I could laugh with ya. My parents eat that shit up like it's part of the bible or some shit. They will ignore or deny any facts brought up to them that contradicts their disturbing level of indoctrination.
Oh, but China is socialist even though it relies on billionaires and capitalism because "material conditions" and whatever. Got it
LMAO the funniest shit ever was Caleb Maupin simping for a Chinese billionaire cause he "said something vaguely reminiscent of something Marx said". The article honestly felt like a poorly written high school English paper.
Maupin is a pretty disgusting grifter
Besides that whole dengism garbage he does make some really good points imo and is pretty well known for a communist. At least until his debate with vaush where vaush was clearly using Ben Shapiro tactics.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, Maupin just lost his cool and never regained it in that debate. Granted, Vaush baited it out of him, but he did that by running circles around his logic of uncritically supporting so-called socialist movements. All Maupin was able to do was appeal to the listener by raising questions instead of debating points. You could tell he wasn't very seasoned.
That's the only exposure I have to him, and that was enough to turn me off. Sounds like the intellectual, arm-chair ML that will never participate in actual revolution because of his own purism. Gross.
Yeah i can definitely say he has a soft spot for dengism but now he does videos on American politics and definitely doesn’t advocate for a dengist style government in the US. Theirs still a lot of pretty cool ML and communist you tubers out their and if Caleb says something we don’t agree with we don’t automatically throw a hissy fit and disown him like liberals tend to do when they don’t agree with someone.
When the revolutions is done and complete ML will still be sitting around complaining that it's not 'trv cvlt' or whatever.
Lol, I literally came to this sub to make a post about this more or less. So many threads I've come across with comment sections filled with, "this won't turn into a real revolution because there's no vanguard party. This is just anarchist LARPing." I generally don't get irked by MLs because in the grand scheme we're not THAT far apart in the context of todays political spectrum, but I just cannot with them right now.
Our politics share nothing with MLs other than an ostensible desire for post-capitalism, and they will never allow us to accomplish anything if they can have anything to do with it.
This. These fuckers may as well make a communism that's even more authoritharian than capitalism will ever be, but we non the less, we have to bite the bullet and "join"/"work" with them. Honestly, i don't, for the time being, know if we even will be able to have a war without someone backing us up, but if is going to be anyone, let's not make it to be them ( or the usa) ( or the uk) ( i don't even know who can it be, maybe a leftie country, with a socdem party)
There ain’t nobody to our right that would support us materially, and if they would, they would almost certainly prove such a detriment to the fulfillment of our goals that we’d be better off without them. I know it seems insurmountable that it’s just us, but that’s how it is, and we’ll just have to overcome.
Well, I get what you mean, but I think many anarchists still find the core of Marx's critique of capitalism to be correct. My point is that in today's world, sharing that critique is already fringe as it is, and some of the more moderate MLs that I've come into contact with personally (I've even have met MLs in the DSA) are cool with anarchists. Like I knew anarchists and MLs who both supported Bernie.
This is so true. Even if you don't like Marx, his analysis of Capitalism is the best.
Yeah, they're not totally incorrect, but this is more than they've done in how many decades?
Showing how you can displace and occupy state authority without society falling into a shambles is to me just good praxis. Plus its mostly for the people there to recover apparently. People organically seizing the moment to reassert contrl over their cmmunities is nothing but good education for anyone watching with an open mind about whats truly possible in terms of restructuring society. You hear the panic words, the fear, and then you see the result is not congruent to that.
So much of what is possible relies on people's assumptions.
It's just a hangout spot. Fox News is making it seem like they took over Seattle and are well trained armies taking over. Lol I have been laughing at the outrageousness of their reporting.
