It’s Jeremy Clarkson, he was one of the presenters for Top Gear and Grand Tour, huge figure in the motoring industry. A bit of a controversial person to many, not a bad person, just a bit vocal about his opinions.
So he bought a farm and is properly trying to be a farmer, while fumbling his way through learning the ins and outs, his personality comes out quite a bit in the decision making, some things are definitely scripted, but much of it you can tell isn’t.. it’s interesting to see some of the issues farmers in Britain (similar to most western countries) are facing in today’s environmental and political climates.
Tales from the Loop, The Lost Flowers of Alice Heart, Fallout, Fleabag, The Romanoffs, Three Pines, although sadly Three Pines was cancelled after one season, and we were left with a mega cliff hanger and we’ll never get a resolution! Based on Louise Penny’s books. And if you like docs about culty stuff, Desperately Seeking Soulmate - Escaping the Twin Flames Universe is really good. and so maddening and frustrating.
Catastrophe, by a mile. One of the best relationships and storylines in a comedy I’ve seen. Decently British. Stellar writing. Only a few seasons. Rob Delaney + Sharon Horgan are both the leads + the writers.
Don't need to rewatch season 1 or could I just dive right in? I was going to start season 2 but I was concerned I may have forgotten too much because it is a weird show with lots of symbolism
My first thought was Stargate, but the whole thing is 17 seasons plus a few movies. It's a lot to get through in a month. You could start with the feature film and then the Stargate SG-1 series, but note the series changes tone through its run.
Gen V Many have mentioned it I just wanted to add that it is a The Boys spinoff perhaps tie in. That’s probably first on the list.
Utopia I don’t ever see anyone talking about this show, I think Amazon tried to bury and no one wanted to watch it when it came out due to unfortunate timing. It came out in 2020 and with out giving to much away part of it is about a pandemic. But the I feel it’s a small portion of the over all story.
ANIMAL KINGDOM. if you only listen to one recommendation on here, then listen to this one. One of the best shows EVER made. To put it in context. My favorite shows are Peaky Blinders, Animal Kingdom, Yellowstone, and Rick & Morty.
Clarkson's Farm! There are also good hidden gem films on Prime, though they often change from being free to having to pay. The Zone of Interest is free at the minute
Gen V is more Boys with different name, The Expanse (EXCELLENT sci-fi that keeps getting better- mostly), Invincible (animated series with similar tone to Boys), 1st season of Upload (don't need any more), Undone (trippy rotoscoped mindf-ck like A Scanner Darkly), The Vast of Night (fun feature film that's not too long, kinda quiet but interesting), Rings of Power (more LOTR), Fallout.
Supernatural, 15 seasons, The only issue is season 1 doesn't have original music. The rest do however, I think the man in the high castle is still on prime
Mirzapur yes it’s Indian but there isn’t no dancing and singing around a tree. It’s violent bloody explicit and a great gangster show. You’ll be hooked by the end of the first episode
Reacher for sure. Daisy Jones & The Six. Clarkson's Farm. Hell on Wheels. The Terminal List. Sneaky Pete. Animal Kingdom. Mayor of Kingstown. Outer Range.
The Boys, Gen V, Upload, Reacher, Fallout and Outer Range are awesome
