Are generic OTC Anti-histamines just as good as brand name ones?

Costco prices on store brand Allegra and Zyrtec means you save enough to pay for a Costco membership with 1 or 2 visits a year .

in fact i had poor results with Amazon brand ceterizine. I thought it was my imagination but when I tried some official Zyrtec or a generic levoceterizine I enjoyed the effect I expected.

This has been the only generic which has been ineffective for me.

I will say that most of the time, the answer is yes but occasionally it may not be so, and trying a different manufacturer may be helpful.

Me too. A year's supply ends up being a 3 or 4 month supply.

Not true - inactive ingredients in a generic medication , (ie flavoring or preservatives, etc) , may be different than those in the Brand name product.

There are people (like me) who are allergic to the fillers in certain generic medications…
