I’m selling a ticket to AfroNation GA Weekend 2024 in Detroit!
I was introduced to Afrobeats by some awesome Francophone artists, like Aya Nakamura & Tayc. However, when looking at Afrobeats charts, I’m not sure if Francophone Afrobeat songs represent the genre as a whole. I know which African countries are French speaking from class but have heard that there’s a complicated legacy due to colonialism and was wanting to expand the Afrobeats I listen to to include more of the countries. My best friend is Nigerian and recommended me “Somebody’s Son” by Tiwa Savage (and Brandy!!), which I loved, so I was wondering if y’all had any recommendations similar to that (non-Francophone) style. Thank you!
Does this community think songs like this slap?? I really like it
I just purchased one of the Ik media mics to help me correct my room resonance when I am at final stages of my mix. Any one used this. How can I get an cheap software for it? It seems very pricey from what I can see just for the download. Cost as much as an actual monitor by the time you get everything set up.
