Does anyone feel that most people don't have any hobbies now a days and it's difficult to connect with them on anything

Some people are too attached to the internet and social media to have hobbies. Let me explain.

It might be a generational thing. I noticed a lot of people my age/generation (Gen Z for me, so I’m not some old Boomer) don’t have the time or money, this is common as hobbies become more and more expensive. Another one I see often is they’re just plain lazy. Some people don’t want to invest into something that doesn’t have immediate outcome or validation with a lot hobbies, there’s bad apples and criticism. Social media is often pseudo-validation of praise with likes, upvotes, and reactions. I try to limit myself to a few hours of Social media a week. Usually to connect to others who share my hobbies funny enough.

Frankly, I guess I’m biased. I’m a regional trucker, and I work roughly 70 hours a week. I still manage multiple hobbies, friends, and a life outside my job.
