This picture really shows the inequality
BengosJersey sales for Baltimore and Pittsburgh, for Cleveland it’s probably inflation on getting handies after the game.
I’ll have you know handies can be a very lucrative business.
Especially since we doubled the price to a dollar.
We have a 2 for 1 special coming up after ever humiliating loss this season! (This has to stop, we keep going broke for this special!)
This explains the stone-mason level of calluses on all the local ladies.
Haha, a squealer saying the word “Mason” and not puking 🤮
Who invited the tuna into this elite conversation?
You’re not even the best team in your own state.
Oh wait…
Especially if you're efficient like Erlich Bachman.
They’re very high quality, too.
You guys wait until after the game?
Yall only buy jerseys because no one wants handies from the disgusting creatures yall produce in Baltimore and Pittsburgh
For an extra $10 I’ll spit on it
Pretty sure Cleveland gets the extra 50 Because there is nothing else to do in Cleveland.
Imagine not being in the $4 Billion club lol!
Beats me
Like did investors see the last 30 years?
You guys went 1-31 and still had a rabid fanbase, the suits had money signs popping out their eyes after that
I remember during the 1-31 era, I bought tickets to Browns-Steelers game in Cleveland for like $8. And then on the day of the game I found much better seats for like $24. But hey... some sucker season ticket holder paid full price for those tickets so the team is doing alright financially, I guess.
rabid fanbase
Putting locked freezers of free beer all around the city with the promise of opening them to anyone and everyone once they actually win a game will make rabid fans for any team. The problem is, the Browns are the only team to suck that bad to even make that an option, LOL
Short answer: financials. Look at revenue. For this calculation, it looks like they are just applying a multiple more or less.
I’d think in a bidding situation, the storied legacy of the Steelers would command a higher premium than that of the Browns.

How are the Browns beating the Bengals? Is Cincy like extremely poor??
These numbers aren’t even from last season either when Burrow went down. These numbers are from 2022 when the Bengals did substantially better.
Northern Ohio is home to more people than Southern Ohio. Also the Browns fanbase is rabidly loyal and I think Columbus tilts slightly more to Browns than Bengals.
They do.
Kind of.
But why? Are they stupid? Both have the same level of success. Which is to say, none at all.
Queef fan I think you're in the wrong part of town
Keep your footlong cookie away from me Patrick!
For these teams it probably comes down to national fan bases outside of their home markets. Steelers get to live off the 70s dynasty and their objectively good color scheme for them having wide spread branding reach. Same for the Ravens but replace the dynasty with Ray Lewis being Ray Lewis and their defenses being iconic recently enough. Browns are just old and historic (technically not but you know they got their whole silly city keeps the history thing). Bengals are finally getting real national hype with Joey B. But it’s still to new to hit these evaluations . Living in LA I see Steelers and Ravens stuff on the regular. Browns to a lesser extent but still more than I would have guessed. Bengals, I spot every once and while and it’s usually a Burrow, Chase, or maybe some AJ Green merch.
Are you talking about the 2 time.....MURDERER?!?!

I’m being honest, I don’t think the Ravens have a big “national fanbase” I have never met one before or seen one in my life
Im gonna have to stop you right there. The Steelers color scheme looks like piss, literally. Orange and black is way cooler imo, therefore I am objectively right.
“Shit is cooler than piss 😎”
You shit orange???
Let’s not act like a century’s worth of polluting the waters for steel doesn’t have repercussions
That's just how Pittsburgh does it baby! 😎

'city keeps the history' so technically yea. dipshit
In the real world that every other team that’s ever moved lives in. It is a new franchise. But da wittle babies got their feelings hurt so mommy made it all better and made it special just for them.
Thank you. All we have is a statue of Johnny Unitas in a Colts uniform outside our stadium as history, but these baboons still cry about losing their team for a COUPLE years.. Make it make sense lmfao
Wait I lost the plot, what are you talking about lmfao
It will take the bengals winning the superbowl to change the perception.
We went 1-31 and still had a crazy fan base. We are self hating fucks who love pain, but are devoted
Tucky fan base can only afford to rent jerseys
I really question the Browns valuation in this.
Say what you will about Jimmy but he burns his money on this team
If only that money equated to winning football games
I know, it only works against Cincinnati for some reason
It has though? We're not that far removed from 1-31 to have 2 playoff appearances.
Browns fans say we can't brag about afc championships so yall can't brag about playoff appearances
Won more games than you did last season and we win plenty against Burrow.
Even with your Super Bowl run years ago, your team isn’t worth nor generate as much as the Browns. That’s funny.
Rather be a notable team that can go on runs than generate money for a scumbag like haslem but hey, you do you boo
Notable? Half your fans didn’t exist a few years ago. You don’t generate revenue and have a lower value because you guys are not a strong fan base.
Burrows injuries are stacking up, he still doesn’t have protection, and now you are going to have to start paying people.
Don't worry u/mmooney1 we are in the whole be relevant once a decade for Cincy. They will go back to Browns or Steelers jerseys when they realize that Chase likes money more than Mike Brown likes being cheap.
Once a decade is still pretty good to be relevant. Browns showed signs with Baker but I never thought Watson was going to be good on the Browns, simply because that’s not how things have historically worked out for us.
I think Baker was what he was. Exciting at times other head scratcher. Reminds me of Flacco. But at same time you stuck with your guy and it's weird to see how things developed.
Mike brown when he learns what receivers are being paid these days
Ironic. Don't y'all have a WR unhappy with his current deal?
You gave a bag to a sexual Predator who at best is mid, you have a RB who may or may not even be good cause he got his leg snapped, Cooper is unhappy with his current contract, and your entire fanbase values revenue over winning and pff grades over production.
I didn’t give Watson shit. Haslem did that.
I am worried about Chubb and our OL this year. Not so much our starting OL but when injuries start stacking up Callahan kept us competent with 5th stringers in. You guys should be worried about your starting OL.
Cooper is a 30yo with no guarantees in his contract. I expect this to get resolved with a short extension and guarantees, which could help us cap wise.
We are a true fan base. Not some lackluster bandwagon bitches. We have gone through the pain, we know how bad we have been historically, and we are still here.
Maybe you are an OG bengals fan, and if so kudos to you (and I know your pain historically).
Funny thing is I’m just talking shit for fun. NFL is revenue sharing anyways.
I was a Bengals fan through the 90s when you didn't even have a team (truly sorry that must've sucked more than anything). Don't come here saying we are all bandwagons
I didn’t say you all were. I knew some did hard Bengals fans from before Burrow and they were as miserable as I was.
Same happened when the Browns got Baker. A lot of Baker bros started supporting the Browns, they are gone now.
What you're saying is never take financial advice from Jimmy Haslam. As he keeps investing into something that's never going to be successful. Hard Copy, Over...
People there love their Browns, we have no idea why. The Haslam’s don’t know why, no one does for that matter. But they do and they show up and they spend. And they travel amazingly well, for obvious reasons. As a matter fact, probably the best traveling team fan base in the entire league, any excuse to get the hell out of Cleveland.
Yeop.
The diaspora is massive (that’s what she said)
One of the oldest franchises mixed with being quasi-lovable losers = profit I suppose
We really are poverty
I'm surprised Mike Brown found enough change in the cushions to pay Joe.
He sold the naming rights to Paul Brown Stadium to pay for it. He literally sold his dad’s name.
all my homies still say paul brown stadium. paycor sounds like a cheap temu brand of linoleum flooring
Which is actually really insulting for the other 3 teams. As we are the least valued team but have more playoff success recently than the others.
Is this valuation before or after the upgrades to the TV systems in Paycor stadium??
Things are just worth less in Kentucky
Or, things are just worthless in Kentucky
C'mon guys quit knocking Kentucky there's bluegrass and mountains and............ the Wildcats. I think that's all 3 things there.
Bourbon!
Well obviously I'm not from Kentucky if I'm leaving out bourbon
I live in Kentucky, but I was born in Cleveland, and you guys pretty much have the whole summary of Kentucky right
To be fair, the entire state of West Virginia claims the Steelers. They also consider their entire state to be a suburb of Pittsburgh. Also, Steubenville, Ohio and the surrounding area because of the thousands of people who worked for Weirton Steel or Wheeling-Pitt Steel.

Probably closer to the El Paso/Juarez border
Been around the least and cost the most lol
Sorta but deciding which franchise, the Browns or Ravens, is the expansion team is only complicated because the Browns decided to keep the name imo.
When it belonged to the Browns it was named the Browns, when it was called the Ravens it belongs to the Ravens. Simple
Crazy how a franchise that only started 28 years ago has the same valuation as two of the oldest franchises in the league.
The flattering of values throughout the league without the wild variations that you would expect basically comes from the fact that most of the value comes from membership in the NFL, the CBA, the revenue sharing, and the competitive balance built into the league. Its pretty hard to lose money with an NFL team no matter how hard you try.
Cincinnati is dead last according to:
https://www.nbcboston.com/news/sports/nfl/full-2023-nfl-franchise-values-which-team-is-worth-the-most/3125311/
When the Browns get a dome it will get a significant bump.
You better not get a dome. That’s pussy shit.
Facts, domes are for prissy teams that can't play in the elements.
They’re for smart teams that can afford them who want to maximize profits.
Interesting take. Fun fact tho, the last dome team to win a sb was the 09 saints, before that was the 99 st louis rams...just say no to domes.
1/3 of the teams have them.
Probably not a huge sample to go off of.
Also, isn’t the Super Bowl played in as close to a perfect environment as you can get?
Does the retractable roof on SoFi count as a dome for the Rams?
I would think so, i doubt it'd be left open in the rain/weather etc.
So that’d make the 2021 Rams the last one to win it, right?
If you wanna split hairs, ig.
What else is there to do in the offseason lol
I refuse to believe the Ravens have marginally more value than the Steelers and Browns nearly the Steelers.
The Steelers have a massive fan base all over. That's why "market size" is irrelevant, because Packers and Steelers always top 5 in merch sales because their early history established a fan base.
There's more Steelers fans than home team when they play Chargers and Cardinals. Browns and Ravens can't and don't do that.
Browns most definitely do do that
Every time we play the Titans in Nashville it’s basically a home game.
Browns also have a very good national fanbase. They took over the Chargers game in 21, Panthers in 22, and had a shit ton of fans at every road game last year
Is that a real city?

Jimmy needs to keep his hands off the monkey paw. He must’ve made a wish to always beat the bengals or something
It is insane to me as bad of a franchise the Browns have been for 30 years, still make the same money as the Steelers and Ravens.

No one gives a shit about Cincinnati
Probably behind still from when their fans showed their true colors and there were articles about large portions of their stadium being empty during their home opener in 2017.
How tf are the browns valued basically the same as the ravens and Steelers?!? Is being comically horrible actually made them cult favorites ?
Where are the numbers from? I thought the only nfl with public revenue information is the Packers, because they are a publicly owned organization.
Wait, what's your playoff record look like over the last four years? Hahaha. Worst valuation but better playoff records than the whole division over the last few years.
How do the other cities manage that extra 50 million?
