She literally knows what their differences are and almost directly asks to him to explain how he’s feeling to the camera. Like “ hey, this outfit is terrible right? During that scene where they were talking and he left to go to the bathroom, you can see his mood escalating he went quickly past stopping himself from saying things because he kept looking at the camera and remembering they were there to leaving for the bathroom and I honestly think if he’d been with a wife from his own country without any cameras he would have just smacked her at that point. I find him thoroughly dislikable, but I cannot see how getting upset during a conversation and then stepping away to cool down is in any way an indication of sociopathy. That’s quite a stretch.

Maybe it’s not quite as farfetched as one might think, although I’m not sure I’d go all the way to sociopath.
But remember he was telling his brother about how he can have four wives, and the implication was pretty strong that if Nicole didn’t fall in line he’d get a backup wife.
And remember WHY he stormed off; she told him she wasn’t sure she would convert. She didn’t say no, but that clearly angered him and I think it’s reasonable to infer it was because he has very different plans than she does.
Between the US and UK version, this must be the fifth or sixth couple where the man is Muslim and the woman isn’t, and IIRC, every single time the Muslim has either insisted or pressured his SO into converting, but not once has it been the other way around, or even a live and let live thing where they can both practice their own faiths. Now that I think about it, even Citra (or her dad) made Sam convert.

i don’t understand her at all. i know people think she’s dumb, but i think she actually seems sensible, but her actions contradict everything she says/believes. She’s fully aware of the problems with his religion and culture, she knows she doesn’t want to raise kids in Egypt, she seems like she does have some amount of self worth and isn’t like some of the others on this show that are fine being a misogynist’s slave. but then she agrees to move to egypt in the future, potentially raise their kids there, married him in the first place, is considering converting even though she’s a practicing Christian. I don’t know what ulterior motive there would be for her randomly marrying an egyptian guy she met while engaged to someone else, but i feel like there must be one
