What makes FTM/Enby more likely to detrans compared to MTF?

I believe mtfs actually detransition at higher rates, although it’s usually from outside pressure and not because they no longer identify as trans. It’s just more profitable for Big Detrans(TM) to act like poor dumb little females are getting groomed into transitioning

Transmysogyny acts as a great buffer. Theres no societal advantage for a cis man to try out being a transfem for some time, in fact its extremely damaging. So the only poeple who end up trooning out are the people who actually cannot stand being an icky moid.

While cis woman being androgynous is often encouraged and i seen as quirky rather than disgusting in case of transfems. So the barrier to entry is comparatively much Lower, therefore the regret is also much higher.

1. Women have more body issues, do oftentimes not want to be women or are uncomfortable with their own womanhood due to misogyny, are more online, more of them seek a sense of community, and specifically young women are more susceptible to follow trends, and it is more socially acceptable for women to be masculine than for men to feminine. So I'd say currently more women are thinking they are or could be transgender when they aren't than men.
2. Women and "ftms" are more common/visible in this kind of online queer community and are more likely to put themselves out there to 'share their story' when they detransition, while detransitioning men don't usually want attention on them about their failed transition.

Most ftm detransitioners tend to be very delusional as opposed to actual trans men. If you really look into it, the detransitioners goal is to be a yaoi gay boy. And when the effects of T starts kicking in they can’t handle looking like a man. Actual trans men with dysphoria want to look and be treated as men while these trenders want to look like a tumblr emo fag and also want to reap the benefits of being seen as women in social settings

Because some are stupid and easily manipulated by social media trends and copying thier peers to fit in. I’ve been out for 5 years and every single “trans man” I knew has detransitioned (or desisisted I guess, I’m the only one who’s ever had a lick of testosterone.) Also women will encourage this stuff while men will make fun of you.

[One study's] sample included 627 transmasculine and 325 transfeminine individuals who were children or spouses of active-duty, retired, or deceased military members. . .[It] found that the 4-year gender-affirming hormone continuation rate was 70.2% with 81% for the transfeminine group and 64% for the transmasculine group.

So, this lines up with your experience. Though, it is possible that some of "non-continuing" people are not "detransitioning" but rather not taking their meds because they had an "enby awakening" or lost their meds and are too ADHD to refill a prescription or something. And this sort of phenomenon could be happening moe in one group than the other. Later in the article...

So, this one has a higher sample size, and shows that (at least for gonadectomy) regret rate is higher for MtF. Imo, this is especially notable since gonadectomy for FtM is a more invasive operation than MtF. Though, it is still potentially simpatico with the previous study's findings (and your observations) since it could be that the transmascline people who wind up regretting are more likely than the transfeminine to proceed to surgery before they develop regrets. BUT THEN...

The largest study to look at detransition was the U.S. Transgender Survey from 2015 which was a cross-sectional nonprobability study of 27,715 TGD adults. This survey included the question “Have you ever de-transitioned? In other words, have you ever gone back to living as your sex assigned at birth, at least for a while?” The survey found that 8% of respondents had detransitioned temporarily or permanently at some point and that the majority did so only temporarily. Rates of detransition were higher in transgender women (11%) than transgender men (4%).  

This one has the opposite sort of findings to the first study, and a much larger sample. Personally, this jibes with my own observations, but I also know way more trans women than I do trans men, so I'm more likely to see a trans women detrans than a trans man detrans.

Interesting question, probably due social pressure from terfs and other transphobic people convincing them of being just confused. Others may feel disappointed from the changes caused by testosterone. Those are my guesses

If you're transitioning mtf you better be absolutely sure about it with being ftm (in America) theres more leeway
