My front tires seem to be wearing faster than the rear. Is this normal on 4Runners? If so, then the stealership hasn’t been rotating them like they should. I know, I know. The dealership sucks.
Fair enough. Thanks.
Also more weight when braking.
While it is normal for front tires to wear faster, especially on a 4x4, I will give you an example of what happened to me. When ours was new it got hit in the front end by a motorhome while parked in a lot. I decided to let the dealership fix it. I didn't think it was hard enough to effect the front end but I requested a front alignment be done along with the bodywork. Fast forward 3 years and I noticed the front tirea excessivly wearing. I took it to a local tire shop and the front end was out enough to excessivley wear the tires. Now it could be normal driving knocked it out that far.....but I will tell you its a Limited we got for my wife......the only off payment driving it has seen is our short gravel driveway........either Limited 4runners get out of alignment easily from pavement driving......or the dealership didnt do it.
Could also be an alignment issue, that happened to me
Yeah, interesting. It’s eating up the front it’s seems. Rotating them this week.
If it's an alignment issue, rotating tires isn't going to fix it. Get a lifetime alignment from Firestone for like $200.
That’s why we rotate tires
It's common with any car. The front deals with more friction from turning the wheel.
