My 3d printer really doesn't like glossy purple

I'd probably print that on the high side of the temperature spectrum. Silk PLA works and looks better at hotter temps. I'd do between 220 and 230 (towards 230 if unenclosed) 60-70 for the bed with the same rule applying. Overall you should do a temperature tower to see where it prints best, but I'd wager it will be on the high side.

Another suggestion is to print the ship vertically, with the bow pointing up to the sky. You will need less supports that way, and the top and bottom of the hull will have a better look to them.

Find out what you can use to improve bed adhesion. Some filaments need special treatment.
